Altered Thrift

Just for fun we're going to swap one item that has been purchased at a thrift store or garage sale and embellished or altered in some way by you. Shapes might be an interesting variety so I'll just give a sort of guideline - It should fit in a large bubble wrap envelope or shirt size box. (Not too big, not too small - just the right size for your imagination!) So get out your paints, buttons, ribbons, beads or pretty much anything else you can think of and turn a thrift store find into a swap partners dream! Alterations on thrift items should be substantial, not Just a coat of paint. You can turn it into something else entirely if you want. The item should be clean and in good condition when you start.. and amazing when you finish! Make sure you're sending your partner something you would Love to receive.
