Description:

January 27 is Chocolate Cake Day! Who knew? Anyway, I thought we could have a swap in honor of such a special day.

You will send a chocolate cake recipe to three partners. The recipes must be typed and put either on a card or sheet of paper. I want to be able to read it!

The chocolate cake recipes can be either from scratch or can use a mix if the mix is enhanced with other ingredients (not just add egg and water type thing).

Newbies are welcome as well as anyone who doesn't have any no sends. This will be lower postage so this swap will be international. I will give you a few days after Chocolate Cake day to get your recipes out, but don't be too late!

Any kind of chocolate cake? Like a flourless one, or molten middle type? Or do they have to be the frosted layer cake type?

Any type of chocolate cake is fine as long as it fits the rules outlined in the description. This will be fun!

Newbie here.. Do you prefer the recipe on a recipe card, or just printed out?

NeedleNinja 01/17/2009 #

Please check with your partner. Usually people like to have them on cards however.

YUUUUUUMMMMMYYYYY

My preference is on an 8.5x11" paper as I keep a binder with my recipes.

scalpelplease05 01/23/2009 #

can it be made in specialty pans or does it have to be regular 9 x 13 pans?

Debimrtn 01/26/2009 #

I can't wait to send MY recipe...it is absolutely the easiest and most moist and delicious CHOCOLATE CAKE I have ever baked!

NeedleNinja 01/26/2009 #

9 x 13s are fine as long as the recipe is altered or from scratch.

twobluecrows 01/28/2009 #

My ideal preference is to receive it by e-mail, so I can just add it to my collection on the computer, second best is a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper that I can put in a binder.
