Description:

The idea for this swap is simple: a pretty letter but instead of writing on a letter set you make your own 'letter set' from plain note paper/journal pages and a plain envelope, decorated with washi/stickers/collage etc.

You will have two partners and need to write two seperate letters, they must be hand written and legible, they can be the same or different. Think of something you'd like to paste into your journal if you recieved it!

It's a type 2 flatmail swap and it's open to beginners, so the crafting requirements are low, but still please do your best to make this something pretty that you would be thrilled to receive in your mail box!!

You're welcome to include extras, but keep it under 50g weight so that it is posted as an ordinary letter. Any extras should be selected after careful consideration of your partner's profiles.

The contents of the letters should reflect your own personality, but do look over your partner's profiles to avoid anything that will make them uncomfortable.

Suggestions for what to write:
- a recipe you love and why it's special to you
- a short story (less than two pages)
- a list of the plants you can see from your window and how they change through the seasons
- your secret dream of how you would change the world for the better if you didn't have to work
- your favourite poem
- the best memory from your childhood

Keep it light hearted unless your partner's profile states that they are interested in hearing about your personal struggles. Use content warnings to list any potentially upsetting topics if you do decide to share that kind of information.

If necessary I will angel, but I trust nobody will cause any problems 😊

I will be sending mine on the 21st as I am creating something special for both my swap partners and it takes time to create quality. I am afraid I did not do something simple

@vintagecraft that's great to hear! just make sure that you remember the swap must be under 50g each, and when you are rating the swaps you receive you should judge based on the 'simple' rules rather than comparing them to your own special parcels. It would not be fair to rate other people down simply because they didn't go as far above and beyond the expectations I've set out.

Sure. It is just that I find it hard to make things simple.

@vintagecraft - Received your letter! It’s clear you put time into making it! Thank you so very much!
