CMF: Gate fold card

Let’s try an “old” card technique. I remember making these cards many years ago. They’re easy and fun so I thought I’d host a swap.

Measurements

A2 size gate fold: Start with a 1/2 sheet of card stock. Lay it out horizontally and score along left edge at 2 1/8”. Then either flip it around and score again from the left edge at 2 1/8”, OR without flipping it, you could score at 6 3/8”.

Front panels: 1 7/8” x 5 1/4”

Focal point: On my card above, I used a 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” base square and added a 2 1/4” x 2 1/4” layer to it. You may use other dimensions or even other shapes. Please note: When adhering your focal base to the left front panel, make sure that you only add adhesive to one side, otherwise you’ll tape the card shut.

Sender’s choice in design. The card will be for your partner to use. Including an envelope is optional.
