Okay y’all I have seen this on web and want to experiment. I have heard you can mail a potato with postage and an address there are pictures on the internet. Piñatas. We just hope it doesn't break open. ... Pillows. This is kind of gross — but it's still an option. ... Hula hoops. There's probably no way you'd find a box for this anyway. ... Flip-flops. ... Scrolls. ... Sombreros. ... Bricks. ... Frisbees.

So anyway I would think a brick would be really expensive but I know u can mail tires and I have heard chicks in post offices so I know those are all legit. I would just like to see maybe a flip flop (but please send new ones of those) and no used diapers I guess just use common sense? But google what is legit and let’s see what we get.

Please have 5 completed and rated swaps and make sure on ur profile I have to scroll down to read. Questions? Pm me

Definitely not a requirement but I would love to see pics of what y’all send and receive. I would love to see how the mail system really treats our stuff.

I thought I was the only person who heard baby chicks in their PO! I'm pretty sure they were in a box though. LOL!

Yes! I just heard some chicks at my post office! They said people order them to feed to snakes (?)

@kelliegirl6 Nooooooooooo!!! I think ours are for raising to lay eggs or eat since we're a farming community. At least I hope so.

I love this idea! Just a quick question though wouldn't this classify as a type 3 swap? I get that we aren't making a craft or sending our item in box. But this will im sure cost most much more than flat mail to send.

We have Perdue And Tyson here Nough Said LOL

Oh my goodness myancey- the people at my post office already look at me like I'm crazy with all of the bizarre postcards that I send! I'm going to have to think about this one!

I love the thought of a pinata mailed. But I've had the PO fuss just about using non-glossy wrapping paper. Very clever swap! I can't do it right now, but will keep an eye out if you do it again.

My mom used to mail letters to my uncle when he was in the army over seas in toilet paper rolls. She would write some of the letters on like adding machine paper. The guys in his platoon loved it!

Come on people. Have a little fun. The Mail Art Collective I used to be in sent crazy things: a full roll of toilet paper, a bone and a rubber chicken. As long as there is room on the front for a return address, address and stamp, it can go. Lighter is cheaper. I bought a foam hand on a stick from the Dollar Store. It was a bath sponge. I sent it from PA to a guy in Texas and his postman left it sticking out of his mailbox. It was a hoot. I am in. Join us. LLL

I've had trouble at post office in Chicago, they don't play. They insisted it be in a box or clear envelope.

myancey 03/ 5/2020 #

I think that is crazy @gooseberri

So my regular po guy laughed at this. He loved it!! I didnt have any issues.
