Description:
This swap is to send one letter to your partner, and hopefully start a long term penpalling friendship! Please write an introductory letter to your partner, about yourself, and your interests. It can be typed or handwritten, but should be at least 2 pages in length. While this isn't a swap requirement, if you enjoyed your partner's letter it would be great to write back and have an ongoing penpal friendship. New penpals are what this swap is about! :) Newbies welcome with a filled out profile (3+ sections or paragraphs). I will check profiles and angel if necessary. On this website, swap hosts cannot control how partners are assigned. You may be paired up with someone from any country, of any age, or gender. I can't control how partners are assigned.

NOTE : I am sorry ......There are certain countries that the USPS will not deliver mail, due to coronavirus and vice versa ,some countries , including my native Greece will not deliver mail to the US .

Hey @petaluda - it does appear the USPS has a list of countries here https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm that it can't currently deliver to. I will be removing people in countries on this list prior to assigning partners.

I would encourage anyone who has limited mail availability in their country otherwise to drop from the swap.

Hi @Milano - I'm still working on vetting participants. With over 100 people signed up, it takes some time to review everyone and remove people as needed. Hosts have a week to assign partners, but I will likely be able to in a couple of hours.

@Hell0Z0mbie what is considered 2 pages? I am new and still not sure about this. Is it A4 and A5 1 sheet of paper that is front and back, or A4 and A5 paper that is 2 pages both front and back? Thanks.

Hey @UniqueBeing - I haven't specified a size for paper, but I think either the front and back of one sheet, or the front of two would constitute two pages. You should be fine with any normal stationary, and you can always go over 2 pages if you have more to say!

Yes, I've already messaged anyone who hadn't sent after the deadline. I will definitely angel, but I recommend contacting your partner and giving them a chance to resend first.

It's been 2 weeks since I contacted my partner for this swap, and she hasn't even read it. I think she's gone. You can angel if you have time (I love snail mail) or if you're busy, send me a postcard of a....dog! Or art! Whatever, your generosity is appreciated.
