I have a suggestion... when you get your envys ready, write the name of the swap on the OUTSIDE of the evelope, as well as the inside, makes things easier to help do rating! I keep envelopes, and sometimes I don't remeber who sent what. I should probably find a system to do this, but I know that when I write the name and the DATE it's due (I'm trying to do that now) it helps alot! susi

I recently was in a swap where the person wrote the swap name on the outside of the envie and severel arrived with the item missing (envie ripped, nothing inside) so I have been advising people NOT to put the swap name on the outside if it gives away the contents of the envie, ie: earring swap. It is sad that we have to be concerned with people with sticky fingers, especially at the PO! We'd probably be okay with 'Just do it swap' as people may not be as tempted to open. Just my two cents. :O)

Well, I sent a note to When It Rains to see if I can play - I'm new - but responsible really! I did have a question though - is there a monetary guideline that should be followed? I made three "things" but don't know if I should do more...

this swap is always a mystery. you could recieve one thing from your partner or many... you never know! In the last one I had 4? partners and I recieved: a scarf my favorite colors, a cool yet funky pin that i love, a altered slide pin, some homemade cards to use, a couple bookmarks i think and some other goodies. its really up to you. this swap is pretty fail proof. as long as you send!

kiki, it's a shame that has happened to you. I understand where you are coming from then. so at least put a note inside so i can write it on the envelope what swap it was. susi

am I being stingy? i just put one thing in each envy, it's a thing that show one of my hobbies. I don't want to be rated poorly for sending something small, just an envelope, not a pkg.... susi

Susi, I am only sending one small thing to each person too... I thought that was what I was supposed to do. And I thought it was cool because I made them before so I didn't have to worry about timeframes. And got to try new things that I wanted to do.

No worries, Ladies, I only sent a small thing to each of my three swap-ees too! Padded envelopes to prevent breakage.

JWJUW2 I got your envelope, got another one same day --my system of keeping track of who sent what is basically not a system and I'm trying to make some order of the address labels and notes I've kept. So far, 2 items, nice key chain and a neat refrig magnet. Thanks, the name will come to me when I see it on the rating list promise.
