Handmade Postcard - Rustic Farmhouse Style

I grew up on a giant farm and my place now is very country-style. I love the Rustic Farmhouse-style of decorating and want to create some swaps in this style. I love doing handmade postcards because I can put a lot of effort and detail in them without it taking me a week to complete it!!

Hopefully there are others on Swap Bot that also like the theme!!

You will have ONE partner and send ONE handmade postcard in the style of rustic farmhouse. Please Google it if you are unfamiliar. It includes things like windmills and farm animals and vintage milk cans, etc. Write something to your partner on the back of your postcard and include the swap name and your user name so that you can be identified by your swap partner.

THE POSTCARD

You can either do a 4 x 6 card (uses the 35 cent stamp) or a 5 x 7 card (needs a forever stamp or 55 cents).

These types of swaps allow you to show off your art - including paper crafting skills!!! You can use most anything to create your card. Decopage, gluing on paper and elements, painting, drawing, stamping, mixed media, etc. The sky is the limit on art supplies you can incorporate. Please don't slap on some stickers and send it out. Put some time and effort into your work.

Please use a sturdy background (I have found cardboard to be a wonderful background) You can also recycle postcards that you have received by gluing on a blank back and crafting your stuff on the front. There are also blank postcard templates on the web for sale. You can get 50 for less than 10 dollars. But truly - cut up a cracker box and make it beautiful!! It's that easy!!

I am not putting a rating requirement BUT I will check every profile and anyone with unexplained or recent 3s or 1s will be excluded from the swap. I am certainly willing to angel should someone flake - but I am not allowing newbies in this swap as it requires time and being flaked on SUCKS. You have to have at least 10 rated swaps by the sign up deadline.

I also ask that you RATE your partner when you get your swap. It's how Swap Bot works and is a big part of the community expectation and etiquette. If you don't think you can mail out by the deadline for whatever reason PLEASE don't sign up. It's not fair to the other participants.
