Sip And Pray

There is nothing more reassuring than a hot cup of tea and knowing that a friend is praying for you. But the chance to pray for a stranger is also pretty special.

In this swap, share with your partner your intentions in writing. Explain as much as you are comfortable with about the knots in your life you need supernatural help with. Include some lovely, new, well-sealed teas to share. Send a tea bag for each day of prayer you would like your partner to pray for you.

When you receive this swap, read the intentions of your partner with compassion, and each time you drink one of their special tea gifts, offer up a prayer in supplication for your partner's needs as God's will may allow. Use the tea as a way to connect to your partner and their specific prayer needs.

It would be extra nice to send your partner a reply-note of some kind letting them know you received their intentions and you are indeed praying for them. Let us not be shy, and show our commitment to one another.

This could be a type 2 or 3 swap depending on the amount of tea you send, so it is rated a type 3 as a catch all. Please get crafty with your tea presentation. Let's do our best effort- to help connect with the praying part of this swap. We must be able to connect well with our partners. God knows what is in our hearts, but our earthly selves benefit by being purposeful in our thoughts and prayers. I like to know the full name of the person I am praying for-- not for God's sake-- He already knows-- but for my sake, so that I know and I can stay focused during my prayer time.
