Description:

This swap will be for:

One Set of Buddy JAMS

  • Receiver’s Choice Starter Set! (Two ATCs)

The difference between these starter sets & the sender’s choice sets is that the subject/theme will be decided by your partner rather than you.

In other words, we give our partners a few ideas, they surprise us by sending a set in one of the theme ideas, them we get to embellish ‘em!

To participate you’ll need to identify 3-5 ideas for your partner to choose from.

These can be listed in the discussion section below, or via direct message with your partner (once assigned).

For this type of swap, it helps to PRE-read profile pages because you may just find several interests you have in common!

I’m hoping this series can help those of us looking to complete our themed ATC collections!

——————————————————-

  • Starter ATCs should both have decorative backgrounds or papers already affixed. Plain colored cardstock is no fun, so please at the very least ink the edges or perhaps emboss a little to give those backers some texture.
  • Starter Set must also include a minimum total of TWO focal images, accents, or embellishments that your partner will use on the cards. Please do not send ATC backers/backgrounds without focal points.

Please Note: These are ATC Buddy JAMS, but not complete ATC kits. Therefore, each artist will be using personal supplies to add to the Starter Sets.

Focal images, accents, and embellishments may be sent loose (not affixed) with the cards, if you’d like to allow your buddy to place them on once they’ve made their additions.

  • Remember to include your UserID & the Swap Title
  • Upon receipt of your Starters, your partner will rate a 5 (five) for creating the set based upon the swap details and group guidelines (proper size & sturdy/firm backers)

  • You’ll finish both cards by simply adding 2-3 items/techniques to each ATC, sign/date the back (or add an addy label, if ya got ‘em!)

  • Then send one back to the original artist

There’s no set timeline for how long we may “hold” a set of buddy jams, because true art cannot be rushed, right!

However, if you’re going to need longer than a month, please let your partner know by sending them a direct message.

Feel free to use the discussion section below to let your partner know when you’ve put their “homer” ATC in the mail! 😉

@hibiscus the secret is that you have to double space between each item to get them into a descending row.

~ I cant remember how you do the Bullet points. I think you use the ~

CookieMomster78 07/18/2021 #

@hibiscus and @AZmom875 This is great to see your comments here, helping one another! Thank you ladies. I am inspired by your kindness and think I will post the link to a helpful page created by @Poeprincess to help remember how to post stuff here on the bot using their mark-down programming language...and maybe put the tips-n-tricks stuff in our group FAQ too!

BTW, the bullet point are simply made by typing the hyphen and a space on a new line before typing the word(s).

For example, if want to list my favorite colors using bullets I would:

  1. Start a new line by pressing the ENTER/RETURN key
  2. Type the HYPHEN (-) key (typically located next to the number zero on a standard computer keyboard)
  3. Type the SPACE BAR one-time
  4. Then TYPE what I want on the first bullet
  5. Proceed with steps 1 thru 4 to continue the list

Example:

-(space)Blue

-(space)Green

-(space)Purple

@hibiscus Your list would look like this when you click on the "PREVIEW" button:

  • Paris
  • Starfish
  • Flamingo
  • Piece of Dictionary Page with word & illustration
  • Beach

Hope that helps!

I am moving and need to pack up my craft room, I am worried the items will get lost in the move. I mentioned to the host that she could delete my comments if that made it less confusing.

CookieMomster78 07/27/2021 #

@AZmom875 deleted, as requested. Safe & happy move!

Another way to make your list a list is to space twice, then hit return after the end of each item.

one
two
three

I love this idea and hope you repeat it in the fall. Summer is very busy, so I'll wait and join a later version!

CookieMomster78 07/30/2021 #

@user6937 Yep! I will offer the swap again in Fall 😉 Hope to see you then!
