Description:

Welcome to the ULTIMATE EASTER "BASKET" SWAP!!! Every year I put together fantastic baskets for my family and seldom get one in return...I figure its the same with many of you ladies! My husband is a sweet man, but hes not all that creative in the gifting department--and while he'll buy me what I ask for, its not the same thing as being surprised! Okay, enough back story!

This swap will require you to make one fabulous Easter "basket" for your one swap partner! A minimum of six items with a spending limit of $15 to $20 before shipping. Homemade items are most welcome amongst the goodies. Please give your partner a hand by placing a comment below with a wishlist of 10 items you might like to see in your Ultimate Easter "Basket". You must include 2 items from the list your partner leaves below. The "basket" itself, that you put the items in, can be a basket, a bag, a purse, eco-bag, cellaphane, be creative!! Think about what kind of basket you would like to recieve. Make it look good, wrap some of the trinkets, put some love into it!

PLEASE only join this swap if you plan to stick by the mailing guidlines!!! We want everyone to recieve their basket in time for Easter. This is why I'm making this a USA/Canada only swap, to ensure shipping time, and also to keep postage down, I'd rather people put their hard earned dollars into the basket than into shipping it! Further, please put some love into this swap! I think it can be a lot of fun, think of the partner your sending the basket to as a family member who's not home for the holiday...you want a mega-watt smile on their face when they open this holiday package from you!

To join the swap I'm going to require a 4.95 rating or higher, no recent no sends allowed. No newbies...must have 15 rated snail mail swaps under your belt to join! Email swaps don't count! I will check profiles and ban peeps if I have to.

I hope this covers it all...Please fire away with questions below or PM me if there are any concerns! Thanks Everybody and Happy Easter!!!

YooperHill 02/27/2009 #

Gosh - I feel the same way!

You can go to my profile to see what I might like. I am sure what ever you put together will be fine!

I like black jelly beans, jelly bellys, dark chocolate, godiva truffles, ....please only wrapped candy....and not too much. I'm trying really hard to loose some weight, but a little bit will be greatly appreciated! Maybe a dark chocolate rabit so I can bite the ears off!

missxpistol 02/27/2009 #

my profile has a bunch of ideas for things... i have a 4 year old daughter and would be fine with it being for both of us if you have trouble finding things for me. :)

feistyfoodie 02/27/2009 #

Awww... I'm too new to join. (And to be honest, even if I weren't, I'd have to think about this a lot because it is a commitment and I don't want to be a bad person and stretch myself too thin!) But I just want to say --- this is THE MOST AWESOME swap... I never got Easter baskets as a kid. I made one for someone once and put all my hard work into it and then they didn't even appreciate it =( err enough of the pity party. Happy swapping, ladies!

dolphingirl 03/ 1/2009 #

Thank you so much for having this swap. Easter has always been a special time for me, my mom used to do lovely baskets full of special things and many years ago she passed away a couple of days after Easter so I always feel a little blue around the holiday and am really looking forward to having something special on the day!

My Wishlist 1. something from my profile 2. something handmade 3. something from my amazon wish list 4. something from your local zoo 5. stuffed animal 6. art supplies (I love stuff to create with!) 7. a needle felting kit 8. pretty rocks and minerals (I love sparkly stones) 9. books about ghosts from your area (I would love these whether they are new or used!) 10. Halloween items

StarliteStarbright 03/ 2/2009 #

Hi All!

I would love crafts supplies, grosgrain ribbon, felt pieces, an assortment of buttons, handmade by YOU, fabric, cute towels, minnie mouse, not really a big candy fan but for easter love love love the pastel colored m&ms=) Im not picky my profile has a bunch of stuff. Thanks!!

jcm716 03/ 2/2009 #

Hi, My 10 items wishlist are: Jelly belly beans, Easter chocolate, candles, earrings, Easter ATC's, gel pens, swap cards, journal, decorated envelopes, 70's or 80's music cd Thanks!

luluvision 03/ 5/2009 #

What fun! First, I would prefer the basket not be an actual basket (although I'm sure an actual basket would be a pain to mail anyway!) So feel free to use some sort of reusable bag/basket (a tote or whatever) or a cellophane bag if you can't find/make a reusable one.

I would love 1. anything handmade by you! 2. wouldn't mind chocolate! But not too much! (please read my profile for details) 3. cotton thread #10, any color 4. fabric! 5. wool felt in bright colors 6. profile surprise! 7. spool thread for my sewing machine (I use white and black mostly but wouldn't mind other colors too!) 8. quality ink pads! 9. #11 X-acto blades 10. pocket size spiral notepad with lots of pages (the one I have now is from Staples with a plastic cover-it's almost done so I need another one!)

Juliuslove28 03/ 5/2009 #

I am so excited!

anything handmade by you!

milk chocolate with almonds

gummy candy

stationary

anything from my "teacher" wishlist on my profile

any etsy or amazon surprise (links in my profile)

Fun easter goodies and decorations

candles and other smelly goods

warm and cozy socks

anything you think I would like!

I am really picky with my easter candy so here is a little note about it, usually I hate writing dislikes and if I get something I don't like I share with friends and family, but my husband also really dislikes this kind of candy so here it is: I really HATE jelly beans, black licorice, peeps, and dark chocolate. Anything else is fine!

rockstar20h 03/ 5/2009 #

I would love gel pens, stickers, stationery with lines, markers(finetip), liqiud lip gloss, a moleskin journal, swap cards, address labels, any cute things from hot topic

kgeslab 03/ 5/2009 #

My top ten would include:

good chocolate in dark or milk (no palmer, but Hershey's and up is fine)

Somthing made by you with a spring theme

Cadburry eggs - minis are fine, too - candy coated chocolate

peanut butter or coconut or other filled egg (the big kind)

Any supplies for journaling (pens, stickers, etc.)

Fat quarters or larger pieces of fabric - 100% cotton

100% cotton hand quilting thread- any brand and color

Buttons

Something with realistic birds on it - notebook, note cards, address lables, swap cards

Kitchen towel / pot holder with a bird or garden theme in greens, creams and / or browns.

Like Luluvision, it does not need to be in a real basket unless you have an extra around the house. Feel free to use something you have or something like a reuseable bag. I also don't like knick knacks too much - useful items are better.

steffany81 03/ 5/2009 #

This sounds like a lot of fun! I have a complete profile so you can get some ideas from there too.

*cute notecards *markers/color pens *candy: LOVE gummy stuff, mini snickers (but please NO peeps...those gross me out.) *a book (see profile for favorite authors and genres) *recipe cards *note pads/sticky notes (something unusual...not just boring yellow squares) *Spring themed socks (woman size...7/8) *Easter decorations (I know "cute" is subjective, but...cute please) *Starbucks gift card (absolutely love caramel apple spice!) *a page of quotes

craftygirl 03/ 5/2009 #

  • yarn, patterns or stitch marker for crochet

  • pens/markers in different colored inks

  • anything for outside like yard decorations, garden items, bird feeders, etc.

  • I don't care for most traditional Easter candy, but do like chocolate (especially dark), Starburst, nuts, chips and Andy Capp's Hot fries

  • computer paper, card stock and blank #5160 or #8160 address label sheets

  • any kind of storage boxes and containers for my crafts

TheFallenAngel 03/ 6/2009 #

It's hard for me to come up with a wishlist since I'm pretty easy to please, but I'll try.

  • wind chimes, transplantable trays to start seedlings in, seeds and bulbs for flowers and vines that would do well in region 6b (especially red and white flowers other than Alyssum, Moonflower, Carnation, Oriental Poppy, Nasturtium, Celosia, Zinnia, Dianthus, Snow-in-Summer, Impatiens, Gypsophila), stakes to note what is planted in what pot, books on moon and Mary gardens, and other things for the garden.
  • an Amazon, Etsy or Wishroll surprise.
  • jewelry such as chokers, long earrings, and belly chains in silver tones.
  • bath stuff is always great.
  • blank media (CD-R audio, DVD-R+, blank cardstock, etc.).
  • mix CD's.
  • books and magazines.
  • something handmade.
  • um... I really can't think of many specific "wants", but my profile should give you some ideas, and I have the links to three different wishlists. Honestly, I'd love anything... I haven't gotten an Easter basket for nearly fifteen years!

I should mention that candy isn't a good idea. I like it, but my daughter has Type I Diabetes and would find it and pig out on it... :-\ It's better to just not have it in the house, heh.

justingrid 03/ 6/2009 #

Ok my list. Any Art Supplies are always appreciated. I like dark chocolate and black licorice(especially Aussie style). Coffee lover(no flavours), rooibos teas, embroidery floss is always good, fabric, check out my profile for more ideas, colour preferences etc. Oh I have a 21/2 old daughter who will help herself to things so something for her would be great.

justingrid 03/ 6/2009 #

Oh I forgot, A bag would be my preference of packaging.

keahirada 03/ 6/2009 #

First off please note that i am allergic to dairy. Almost all chocolate has ingrediants lists. Dairy includes milk, butter, milkfat, buttermilk, whey. IF there isnt any of that then i can eat it(and there are chocolates without them!) if you dont feel up to dealing with that i understand and you can just give me no chocolate(but i absolutly LOVE chocolate!)

My preferance would be that my stuff went in a easter bag instead of basket(i have no space to keep baskets and already have too many of them!)

Wishlist: - Cute earrings! - Something Handmade - Chocolate I can eat - Windchimes - Any Teas - Pens/Sharpies/Gel Pens - Cute little notebooks - Address Labels - Sparkly Things - Stuff to put in my hair(clips, pins, hairties)

I hope that helps! I look forward to this swap!

provadia 03/ 6/2009 #

  11. a pillow! Lol

lovelylunalovegood 03/ 6/2009 #

any of my etsy wish list items...a whimsy jar.... sakura gel pens.. an eco-tote (a cute one would be awesome).... a gift card to any of the stores in the "Towson Town Mall" (can be found on their website).... Please no: make up, jewelry, religious items... and I'd really rather NOT get a basket.. packaging in the eco-tote on my wish list would be preferable.
