If you enjoy having fun cards to open and display for the holidays, then this is the swap for you!

This swap will be for:

  • Five partners, USA & Territories
  • Participants with 4.9+ rating (no unresolved ones within the current 6-month period)
  • Mail each partner a decorative envelope with a holiday card & flat surprise inside
  • Card may be handmade or manufactured and will include your partner’s name and your signature at the very least
  • Flat surprises are the sender’s choice, but please try to avoid overt dislikes (this is all about sharing merry via mail)
  • Label the outside of each envelope with your username and swap info
  • Rate promptly upon receipt of each envelope
  • DUE TO HOLIDAY DELAYS: I’m urging every participant to verify their mailing address is in the standardized USPS format. That means use of the ZIP+4® to ensure automated machine processing. The basics are:

  • All capital letters

  • No punctuation
  • At least 10-point type
  • Two spaces between state and ZIP+4®
  • Black ink on white or light paper
  • Here are a couple of websites to explain why these standards help minimize delivery delays:

Basics

Addressing

Flat surprises may be winter/holiday themed, but don’t have to be. Examples include a sheet of stickers, envelope seals, PDT address labels, or swap cards. Sticker flakes, new or used postage stamps, winter/seasonal ephemera, an Artist Trading Card, Altered Playing Card. A nice bookmark, postcard, letterset, or notecard with an envelope set.

Everything sent must be in good, clean condition. Nothing soiled, stained, smelly, torn, damaged, scrappy, or trashy.

If your partner enjoys them, you may send a factory-sealed packet of hot beverage mix (cocoa, cider, tea, etc). Remember that any envelope thicker than 1/4” will require package rate postage. Try to keep these flat and one-ounce, one-stamp envelopes.

Think of this like an inexpensive holiday gift swap among group swappers. Swap with confidence, as I always angel swaps that I coordinate.

Let’s start preparing our Merry mail envelopes!
