VERY IMPORTANT.... ONLY AUTHENTIC PRE 1980'S ITEMS

Many of our junk journals already have the foundation papers for the pages. We got that far but NOW need to make them pretty, fat and fluffy. I know that I do! WHAT I NEED ARE THE SMALL BITS that can be tucked into pockets, layered on pages etc... the stuff that makes if special, FLUFFY AND FAT and really unique.

*For this USA ONLY swap you will send THREE partners at least 5 pieces of pre-1980 ephemera.

(If there is any question that if may not be 40+ years old..... don't send it.) The bits may be old fabric swatches, old lace or older ribbon/seam binding etc or paper/cardstock printed bits.

DON'T JUST SEND A SQUARE OF A PLAIN OLD WHITE OR GREEN BOOK PAGE OR SHEET MUSIC. THIS SWAP IS FOR THE LAYERS THAT GO ON TOP OF THOSE. A BOOK PAGE FROM AN OLD COOKBOOK, CHILDREN'S BOOK OR ENCYCLOPEDIA OR OLD ATLAS ARE FINE.

PLEASE ONLY AUTHENTIC VINTAGE PIECES.... NO COPIES EXCEPT FOR PHOTOGRAPHS..... THOSE MAY BE A COPY MADE ONTO PHOTO PAPER OR CARDSTOCK. I UNDERSTAND THAT A PHOTO MAY BE SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO HOLD ON TO IF IT IS A LOVED ONE OR YOU RECEIVED IT FROM A FRIEND.

Below are some examples of what you could send (Please send no more than 3 of the same type of thing- like you could send 3 different patterns of vintage playing cards, 1 old photo and 1 old postcard) If it is something really small like an old postage stamp.... please send a few extras to compensate. If you have any questions please ask them below. I will answer them when I see them and tag you.

Pre 1980's.... *bus passes *a canceled check *an old letter/envelope *labels from canned food/seed packets *old library card *fussy cut image from a children's book *a few inches of old ribbon (ric rac) *a square of fabric *old lace or stitching *yearbook photos *receipt *wrapping paper (the old stuff) *wallpaper sample *pictures cut from an old encyclopedia *menu *playing cards/bingo cards/ game pieces/ score pad paper

On Etsy there are so many inexpensive old ribbon and paper bits this swap deadline is 3 weeks after partners are assigned so that if you need to you may order or go thrift store shopping for stuff to send. Everything should be fairly flat. I am so excited to finally cover and layer the pages of my empty junk journal~
