Description:

For these swaps, we will be doing JAMs (just add more).

Please Read Carefully!

What is a JAM? : A jam is a series of swaps where 2 or 3 people add to the same pieces of art and each artists ends up with one of the creations. For instance, person A sends out 3 ATC backgrounds to person B. Person B adds to those backgrounds and sends all three ATCs to person C. Person C adds the finishing touches to all 3 ATCs, and sends one to person A and one to person B and keeps the third one for themself. This is a regular JAM. A buddy JAM is the same except there are only 2 ATCs created and only 2 artists with the second artist sending one of the ATCs back to the originator.

JAMs can be done with ATCs, ATcoins, Skinnies, ink box cards, Twinchies, rinchies, etc.

For this swap, we will create either a set (2) or a series (3) of ATCs, ATcoins, Skinnies or anything else we choose to send to our partner. If you decide you want to do a buddy JAM, for instance, create two similar backgrounds and mail them to your partner. If you decide to do a regular JAM, create 3 pieces with similar backgrounds and mail those to your partner. On the back of your pieces, put as many places for names as there will be artists. Make sure to add your own information (name, date, swap name) in place number 1.

The backgrounds you create do not have to be identical, but they do need to be similar. IE, use the same colours, same paper, etc.

When you receive your pieces, you will add your touches, which depending on whether you receive a buddy JAM or a regular JAM will either be a focal point and finishing touches and then mail one of the pieces back to the originator (buddy JAM), or some middle level art such as stamping and small collage bits (regular JAM) and you will then wait for another swap round to send all 3 pieces to that partner.

If you are assigned a partner who is the originator of the pieces in your possession, please create another set or series to send to them.

RULES:

No white edged, childish or cartoonish stickers. Please limit the use of stickers to only artistic ones. No sticker slapping! Try to add some mixed media style techniques and do more than simply stick down a fussy cut. Make use of stamping, stencils, die cuts, paint, collage elements, etc. Create something to be proud of and that you would be happy to receive. Please do not completely cover up what was added before you. It happens sometimes that some will be covered and that is perfectly ok, but just don’t obliterate it.

This is regional for the time being as there is more mailing involved than in regular swaps.

Please feel free to ask me any questions or if something needs clarifying.
