Description:

You have two partners. USA only.

For each partner, write a short note in a notecard. Include your swapbot name and swap name. Put 6 washi samples in it.

Please decorate the outside of the envelope. 1 oz = 1 stamp. No 1s/non-sends in past 6 months.

Please do not comment on any swaps. SB does NOT alert hosts. Message us directly!

Washi samples: - 18IN / 46CM long minimum, please. - 6 different washi tapes. Only 2 can be plain, 4 must be patterns.

Samples ideally can be wrapped around a thin piece of plastic, like the kind that comes over stickers, a playing card, a plastic gift card, etc. If it is wrapped around a cardboard piece or a journaling tag, the tape that covers the non-plastic surface will likely stick. If this is what you have to work with, please allow extra length to compensate! <3

Please make sure your envelope meets the following:

  • decorated, even minorly, with stamps, drawings, washi tape, or stickers. No need to be super-pretty!
  • 1oz or less for one stamp. 1oz even or more might require additional postage. You can choose to send a heavier item but please remember that this is newbie-friendly, and it's open to everyone at all income levels.

If the sender sent on time and met all requirements of the swap, please rate well. Do not rate down for items you don't like. Please just pass them on.

This swap is SENDER'S CHOICE, meaning it is not tailoured to your profile. Even though it is sender's choice, it is a good idea to check profiles to ensure you don't send anything the partner has hard limits against, like anyone who doesn't want certain religious imagery, doesn't like a certain holiday, whatever. It isn't anyone's business to argue with. Just send something else. This makes a swap fun and accessible to everyone!

Please do not send any items that may have cigarette smells or perfume scents, pet hair, former food packaging (like cardboard items cut from cereal boxes), etc. These items can be a health risk to other swappers.

I’m wanting to join this swap if possible. Although I live in Canada, hubby is a trucker and we have a parcel pickup box at The Corner Parcel, 121 Cavalier St N, Pembina, ND 58271. If this is not suitable I understand. He is in the states every week.

Hello! Please remember not to comment on swaps. We do not see comments unless it's by accident when we're vetting swappers or assigning swaps.

You could join, but your swap address needs to be in the US. That means the item mailed TO you is in the US. Otherwise, postage is double the cost, which is something a lot of people try to prepare for before joining a swap. Of course, you will also have to mail out on time, regardless of your location.

you would get rated a star if you checked the comments here. It does state to Leave a Comment.

The comment gets read as passive aggression, and I hope that isn't how it's intended.

The swap post has the ability to "leave a comment." It was built into the framework over a decade ago. However, SB does not alert anyone to comments and if you've checked comments under posts, spam bots regularly overrun the section. Admins have not been in charge of this site in years. The coding is at least 10 years out of date. It will not be changed any time soon. If you agree to join a swap, you also agree to the rules of SB and the rules put down by the swap host. When it says to just directly message me, that's what it means.

As well, if you read the first few paragraphs of my profile, you might notice that I have an unreliable chronic illness. Constantly checking comments when I regularly host 15+ swaps is draining energy I need for stuff like washing dishes or taking a shower.

The swaps, which hosts write, specifically tell you not to leave a comment. No one is forcing you to join a swap if you do not like messaging a host instead of leaving a comment that doesn't notify anyone. Just message hosts. Talk to us directly. SB sends email notifications for direct messages (assuming people have those turned on, but if they don't, logging in shows a New! message in red.)

I don't need the stars. I need a heart rate lower than 140 when standing up so that I have the ability to do basic things again. SB is not a job, and while a fun hobby that requires some accountability, constantly checking comments is a drain of energy I could be using to host and coordinate swaps... or doing anything else.

If a host tells people to message them, just message them.

Thank you.
