Every year I plan to make lots of my Christmas decorations and cards -- and most years Christmas is upon me before I even know it and I'm running around shopping, planning, wrapping, decorating, singing and so on. And there are often great looking Christmas craft swaps on Swap-bot, but by December, I don't have time to join them -- and international post means my partner might not get the swap in time. So ... this year I've decided to get started early -- and I thought the idea might appeal to others in this group. I'll post a Christmas related swap each month between now and October. That means we can relax and enjoy making and sending things and by Christmas next year, we'll all have a lovely little pile of decorations and special cards. You don't have to join them all -- just whichever ones appeal to you. The first one is a washi tape Christmas card. If you look here, you'll see some ideas. Obviously some of the pictures are for kid crafts, but there are also some lovely examples of adult washi tape craft possibilities. There are more possiblities here and here. Take time and make a card you're really proud of, then send it to your partner with a little note. Send the card unsigned with a matching sized envelope so that your partner can use it to send to someone special in December! |
