FOUND IMAGE POSTCARD, US - OUTDOOR

For this swap, send ONE (1) found image postcard to ONE (1) Partner. It should be sent naked unless your Partnerโ€™s Profile indicated that they like hand-made postcards to be mailed in an envelope. Letโ€™s make this second round an outdoor theme. This can be any outdoor scene or item that is normally found or used outdoors.

Find a postcard size outdoor image that you think your Partner will like, glue it to a suitable backing for mailing, and send it off naked and with a message. I usually write about what the image is of and where I found it. The focus of the postcard should be the image and not stickers and stamps. It should be a picture you โ€œfoundโ€ in a magazine, book, etc. and not a photo you took or a drawing or painting you did. I find most of the images I use in books that were taken out of circulation from the library, because they were badly damaged. I have also used flyers, programs, and magazines.

Be careful of glossy pages from magazines. Some glues do not adhere well to them. I gently โ€˜de-glossโ€™ the backs of those images by lightly going over them with very fine (800) grit sandpaper. I then use a multi-purpose spray adhesive. I let them set for a couple days until the adhesive is dry enough that it no longer smells before mailing them. I have made the Signup and Send By dates far enough apart to allow for drying time.

I am calling this a Type 3 swap, not because there is a lot of construction involved but considerable time can be expended in finding a good image to satisfy the swap requirements and your Partnerโ€™s likes.

Unrated new users are welcome to try their hand.
