Number of swap partners:1
Description:

For this swap you will send your partner an item that you specialize in. This can be anything that you are good at. Then you will also send them a kit that includes EVERYTHING (save for scissors or sewing machine of course...LOL) that is needed to make this craft.

Example:

Bottlecap pincushion: you will include the cut out pieces of felt, the plastic bottle cap, the instructions on how to construct it.

Some ideas:

  • purses * coin purses * Altered anything * pincushions * bottlecap pincushion * coasters * stuffies * mini quilts * homemade soap * cell phone pouch * jewelry * dotee * etc.

I'm going to have to say no to any kind of paper craft. Even tho I know doing ATC's, matchboxes, Chunky pages or homemade PCs is an art form, I believe we need to have this be more of a craft project then a paper one.

This will be US and Canada only. If you want an international version you are more then welcome to create one!

Some ratings requirements:

  • Must have a rating of 4.9 or higher. No recent 1's at all.

  • Newbies are welcome. This will help you get your Type 3 ratings built up. Just don't flake!!

DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE THE ITEM! That is the most important item in the entire swap!

If you want to do a paper craft version of this you are also more then welcome to create that swap. I just don't do paper crafts myself.

sounds like fun!

Does bookbinding qualify as a paper craft?

crochetjunkie 02/19/2010 #

book binding, you mean like creating a book, binding and all? I think that would be ok

user7088 02/21/2010 #

yes, like the instructions and materials to bind your own journal. Would that be allowed in this swap?

Thanks for creating a realistic and "do-able" kit swap :-) I hope we can make this a monthly or quarterly event!

Hugs~ ~~~Anne
