Easter Egg Swap

By "egg must be $5.00 or more"... does this mean the egg itself or the items being put within the egg? I'm just wanting to make sure as I wouldn't want to make some sort of mistake.

It means the items that you put inside! You don't have to try to find a $5 egg, it can be handmade if you like! ;)

What's the best way to get a pencil in an Easter Egg? I guess you could chop it up into those short little golf pencils? Those are cute for golfers.

So, should I stick the stickers inside the egg? or just stick the stickers,you know, inside the egg. Stuck stickers or unstuck stickers. I don't play golf crescendo, but I like those golf pencils- they should be available for non golfers IMO. :)

Come to think of it, I got a little package of colored pencils in a package of Shrinky Dinks that would fit perfectly in one of the larger eggs. Just came across them last night unopened. Would be cute to make a little travel art kit in an altoid tin with those too. Sorry, I digress.

I would rather cut down a pretty pencil and make it shorter, those ebay ones are kind of boring looking. There are some cute Easter themed pencils at Target right now. I tried cutting one in half with my garden shears and it worked great, then just sharpened the shorter piece, so still has a pretty design.

144 golf pencils for 11.00! !- I could decopage them, carve them, paint them, wallpaper them, glitter them! I know what everyones getting for saturnalia this year!

Oh, I'm so excited! This is my first swap in awhile as I was Peace Corp-ing for a bit and I'm glad to be back. I tried a normal-sized egg before realizing that $5.00 cannot fit in one. I'm using a "jumbo" egg that I found. There are SO many cute little things at Michaels! One more day till we get partners! Hope everyone gets something lovely.

Kskillio - Gosh, whoever gets you as their partner is so lucky. I was at Micheals the other day and fell in love with all their dessert items in their dollar section. Gosh, I was squealing with glee like there was no tomorrow!
