Description:

Because some people didn't get to play last time, and some people wanted to play again. Usually I don't run exact swaps so close together but hey, let's live on the edge, yo!

Hey newbies, you need a rating or some right? Let's see if we can't get you those 5s!

For this swap, you will need 4 postcards and a pair of scissors. Also some glue! Aw man, it's like being 5 again. This would be perfect for cards you got in a batch and wondered who you would ever send em to.

Okay, so take your 4 postcards and cut them into 4 even pieces - cut all the cards the same way because NEXT you'll stick a piece from each card onto a backing.

This means your backing will have 1 piece from each card on it. Does that make sense?

You will have 4 new, interesting cards and 4 interesting partners to send to.

Now here's the nitty along with the gritty.

  • Card must be sent naked (that is, no envelope).
  • Therefore, stick those bits down hard as you can!
  • This swap is open to anyone who has no unexplained 1 ratings in the past 3 months.
  • This swap is also open to newbies with a nice full profile (it doesn't really apply to this swap, but it's helpful for other swaps. Don't forget to include all the things you like, dislike even random things!)

  • This swap is international.

  • Postcards are SENDERS CHOICE.
  • I can Angel if need be, but certainly hope I don't have to :)

I was one who participated in the last swap. It was fun! I'm putting it on my watch list for now.

I'm new to this, so I have a question: I get that naked means no envelope, but do I write on it, too? Like, a letter? or just address it and stamp it? Sorry for my newbie-ness. Very excited!

Hi @wackywallflower , you're right, naked mean no envelope. At the very least you should include the name of the swap and your user name so your partner can rate you easily. Anything else you want to add to the message is up to you :)

Thanks, Frogglin! I'm out to get some cool new postcards tomorrow!

Do they have to be storebought? Say I have photos I normally make into postcards, or have had my own personal postcards printed... can we use them?

I just had 100 photos to be made into postcards delivered to my door today and I think this would be a great way to use a few. :D

I'd like one, omgz!

Frogglin 04/13/2010 #

omgz, go right ahead. I believe we even had some hand made postcards cut up last time.

awesome! I'm so in. lol.

Sometimes I make post cards out of the fronts of used greeting cards. Can these be used in this swap? Thanks. It sounds like a fun idea. Also, can we add some embellishments to the collage that is created?

I have my partners and will be mailing my postcards on Saturday! :)

Ugh, I apologize in advance to my partners. I am incapable of scissoring or exacto-knifing in a straight line. laugh

I got all my postcards and rated everyone...I didn't see ratings from the people I sent to yet...I hope they got the postcards I sent to them...
