I just started a really easy email swap that newbies can use to get some ratings up...and have fun!

Do email swaps count? Most swaps I see stipulate that email ratings don't count because they're not really mailing anything. Just curious. This sounds like an easy swap, but since it's international what if we can't find exactly what's on their wishlist? Will that still warrant a 3 rating? Some profiles are full of easy stuff on their list (scrapbook paper, ribbon, stickers, postcards) while others have very specific and ecclectic wants (like I always stay away from inches, dottees (sp?), steampunk requests because I have no clue what that is). So when you say "send something in an envelope" does it have to be really, really specific to your partner? Thanks for reading. Lol!!

Hosts are not supposed to re-write or specify how ratings are given. I wonder if this really is a type 3 swap. If it is just something in an evelope shouldn't it be a type 2 swap?

@TraceyK the swaps worth a 5 as long as you send them anything except something they listed as a dislike. Sending from their wishlist or likes is just more likely to get a heart.

You're right though most swappers here have pretty easy wishlists and haven't had too much trouble following them but there are some who have more picky wishlists.

I should say profile based I'll reword to try to make it clearer.

And my do not want list would be craft or scrapbooking supplies, if you really wanna send me your extra scrapbook paper just write something on it like a letter or a recipe and then it's not a supply anymore.

I don't want:

• homemade stuff
• anything with creepy crawlies (bugs, flies, snakes etc.)
• beads

Don't wants: * holiday stuff * yarn (have sooooooo much already) ... Have a wonderful day!

Don't want:

*sewing supplies *crochet supplies *magazine clippings

To clarify for LINDA50, swap coordinators are supposed to dictate how ratings are given, but they are not supposed to dictate if hearts are given. Hearts are solely up to the receiver. But having the coordinator outline how ratings should be given has really helped some people know what to do when they get a swap they are unsure of.

If anyone does a USA only, please PM me. :-)

I'm not sure how quick the ratings will be given because Europe's mail might be a little slow from the volcano. :(

That's right unfortunately I can't do much to fix postal system however If anyone wants to do region only (someone should be posting a u.k. only swap soon) versions of this swap go ahead it may increase delivery times but please post a link to this one in the description and leave a comment here to the new swap you start to make it easier for people to find the swap they want.

I'm thinking about taking part, but I have a question. How much stuff I'm supposed to send? When sending from Finland the postage fee depends on the weigh of the paggage, so is there some minimum weigh limit?

@muusikameli You can send as much as you want. So if you only want to pay for 1 stamp then just put 1 stamps worth of stuff in the envie. Most people have something they like that can fit in a one stamp envie (tea, cards, atcs, post cards, stickers, paper, letters etc)

Unfortunatly i have to cancel the UK version of this swap. I believe some people had problems with my ratings.

disappointing swap. I only received 1 out of 3 packages. So much for giving out 5s!
