Kids Love Crafts!

We will each send out a craft kit or kits valued at no more than $5 USD. The kits can be storebought or handmade, and must include clear instructions and all materials. Be absolutely positive that what you send is AGE-APPROPRIATE! A 2-year-old who receives something for which he hasn't yet the dexterity, or the 12-year-old who receives a kit that's full of pipe cleaners and pony beads ... will be extremely disappointed, and disinterested. If the kit is one you're putting together, make sure it's "tried & true" - you've actually done it before, and the kids loved doing it, AND you have made instructions that are very understandable.

What NOT To Send:

• something not age-appropriate
• random craft supplies - this is intended to be a kit
• a kit that assumes you have ten different supplies at home, or just instructions alone
• if your kit does not already include extreme basics (e.g., white/school glue, pencil, crayon), it's okay to leave them out - let's assume that all of our kids have the most basic supplies (you can always email & check if you're not sure!!)

Time Lines:

I'm making it a 2-week turn-around. This is because it can seem like forever to a kid who is waiting ... as it is, the mail might take 2 weeks ... let's keep this kind of fast-paced. After all, there is no crafting involved before shipping out!

More Than One Kid?

Well - it'll be set up in your name, thus, only one swap. However. When you send your info to your fellow swapper, you may choose to tell her that you have more than one kid, ages x, y, and z, and if she's so inclined, she can choose to divvy up the $5 max into smaller, cheaper kits. But please be aware that she's not obligated to send more than one kit for one kid.

Your Child's Information:

I don't really like spreading kid info all over the internet. When partners are assigned, please email the person who sends to you with your child(ren)s name and age(s).

Who May Join:

Edited to add this section (sorry, my first entry disappeared when I hit "submit", and when I re-typed it all, I somehow overlooked this section! Oops!).
Swappers must have several swaps completed and rated, no 1s or 3s within past six months, and an overall rating of at least 4.9. If you don't meet the qualifications but have an explanation, send me a message with all the details of the situation, and I'll consider it.

Flakers:

Seriously? Let me just say that if you flake on a kid - well darnit, karma will getcha. I'll angel if this happens, though I think it won't. In order to request angelling, please ensure that the following steps are taken:
- the full two weeks have passed since the send date (please bump it to three if going between countries)
- you have tried to contact the sender, and either had no response, or an unsatisfactory one
- you have rated a one
