I would love a peacock themed painting for my little peacock art gallery wall! I would Love metallic gold ...or colored glitter paint on it(havent gotten one with that before!)

MamaBear 05/19/2010 #

Since you don't mention anything about experience level, I need to ask... :) Is this a swap for experienced painters, or open to beginners as well? I would hate to join and disappoint a partner expecting a professional-like painting...

user2637 05/19/2010 #

Are beginning painters allowed in this swap? I like painting, but I'm not so good at it yet.

user2637 05/19/2010 #

waves to MamaBear :D

missxpistol 05/19/2010 #

i'd love robots, jellyfish, or octopi. :)

Ziavella 05/19/2010 #

I'd love something whimsical and melancholy; some collage elements couldn't hurt - something free.... Thank you :-)

Ikat78 05/19/2010 #

I'd like to know the same question about beginners vs experienced. This would be my first painting.

Ikat78 05/19/2010 #

Ooooh, I would like an elephant. Just no circus types:)

twobluecrows 05/20/2010 #

It might be nice to have two versions of this swap, one for beginners and one for more experienced artists.

anrtist 05/20/2010 #

i say its open to all who think they can do it! I have gotten 2 "first" paintings from swappers and I was very honored to have their first! They were both nice and one was so good I said I can't wait to see what she does in the future! This is a place to grow as an artist, just keep joining these swaps ..and if someone who is a beginner wants to host a swap, please do and u may copy my description to use if needed! I can't do it though because I am a professional artist and I couldnt be in that one... SO Everyone feel free to join this one or any of mine!

twobluecrows 05/21/2010 #

I'm glad it's open to beginners--I do like getting beginner art--I've never really gotten anything not worth keeping because they usually try hard to make it nice--as I did when I was new! And, as an artist, I can fall into a rut sometimes, and seeing new fresh work is always an inspiration!

twobluecrows 05/21/2010 #

The other thing that's good about participating in newbie-welcome swaps is being a newbie all over again by trying something new and different, or something you may have done a long time ago, long enough that it's like new again. A fresh new start!

mindfracture 05/22/2010 #

I'd like something with neutral colors of nature, such as browns and greens. I'd like a little owl, or some kind of cute little bird.

imlilanglnot 05/24/2010 #

I've never done a painting swap on swapbot =)

I love art of nature or children... those are what I gravitate towards. My son's room decor is dinosaurs, so that could be nice, too.

This swap is actually making me nervous! haha.

valdes53 05/25/2010 #

im a professional painter as well and i really dont mind sending mine and receiving a begginers i dont really mind it will be on my wall anyway we all started somewhere just make painting a habit if your a begginer and you will soon see how good you can become. I hope you just put the effort to make it the best you can

Brittanybuffalo 05/26/2010 #

Hello! I'm a newbie at swap bot, and a mid level painter. I love to see new things and different approaches of doing things. Art should be about the process, not the end result. Thus, I am fine with getting something from a beginner.

i really like portraits and bright, colorful patterns. Also, try to incorporate geometric lines or shapes.

kittykatmomma 05/29/2010 #

I like floral abstract like O'keefe, or a cat opainting would be cool! :o)

BohemianPrincess 06/ 1/2010 #

Please no landscapes,or animals , I like odd stuff. I like castles, fairies, (not cute ones) fantasy stuff, black and white.

If that sounds to hard I like my name, mostly in graffiti type lettering but anything fancy is ok. Im a beginner also.

mindfracture 06/ 2/2010 #

Ack! I'm gonna have to drop from this swap as I'm behind on some work for a show that's coming up in a few weeks. Sorry!

meej 06/ 3/2010 #

I would really love a cityscape of some kind - real or fantastical. My absolute ideal would be one based on Venice or the onion domes of Russia, but anything would be fine.

Or something with trees or leaves and songbirds.

Susu 06/ 3/2010 #

Hmmm...How about a chicken or rooster (I have many and would proudly display it in my house) Folky, detailed or outsider arty style Can put text of some sort if want to.. I've never done a painting swap but looks like fun!

Cookala 06/ 3/2010 #

I enjoy birds or anything nature inspired. I prefer whimsical, colorful, expressionistic over realistic. I don't mind if you start with a tracing as long as you put your own artistic touch on it. Let your creative, playful child express herself. Have fun!

Sunflower4Mowse 06/ 3/2010 #

Relax, enjoy yourself, paint the thing that you enjoy the most. Barring nudity or items you would not want your grandkids to see. the room it will be going in has rust and olive tones in it. Can't wait to see your art work !

Chelle 06/ 5/2010 #

I like sentiments, inspirational words, flowers, nature, birds, cutesy faces and quirky drawings...

Some examples of what I like:

iggygirl 06/ 5/2010 #

wolfeagle 06/ 7/2010 #

Anything ocean related, poppies (red or orange) or bird of paradise flowers, abstract portraits, artistic nudes are ok, anything related to my Profile likes. Thank you!

LittleCakes 06/ 7/2010 #

What do we paint on? Small canvases? Canvas Paper? Framed? Non framed...just curious.

delana 06/ 9/2010 #

Love this swap! I love to be suprised. I love all colors but at the moment my favorite is light blue. Just be creative and make something beautifull ;)

violettedream 06/ 9/2010 #

Beginner painter but really looking forward to doing this!

For me I like mutli coloured, artistic nudes, "Dream", animals...but i don't really care. have fun. be creative.

anrtist 06/10/2010 #

littlecakes, your choice ...just must measure at least 5 x 7

devaburger 06/11/2010 #

Hope I'm not too late for my partner to see. I'd love something happy for my nursery. Abstract would be fine, and don't feel like you have to stick to cartoon animals! If you need a color -- orange?

Delfia22 06/11/2010 #

I hope I'm not late either. I really do not mind what painting I get. But I do like pastel colors.

scrapkween 06/11/2010 #

I would like something music note themed, think guitars, pianos, music notes/staffs,etc. I also dont mind collage mixed in with it eiether =)

oneplaidaunt 06/15/2010 #

I'm easy, really. Surprise me.
