Description:

As knitters we know that you can never have too many notions/accessories and we are probably all seduced by cute stitch-markers and tape measures. So this swap is designed to feed that addiction.

Minimum Requirements

Each person is assigned one partner and must send at least 2 knitting accessories/notions totalling at least £10 (that's about $20) not including postage.

If you want to send more than 2 then that's fine but the minimum requirement is 2 items.

If you feel you cannot spend £10 then this isn't the swap for you.

added - forgot to mention, newbies or anyone with rating less than 4 please contact me first before signing up. Anyone with a "no send" in their feedback will not be allowed to join unless they contact me.

The Swap

After signing up you can, if you wish, list the accessories you would like to received in the comments. If you want to leave if up to your partner to pick then that's fine.

Items to send can be anything from stitch-markers to scissors, row-counters to tape-measures, needle cases to stitch-holders.

You can also specify whether or not you're happy to receive handmade items. I know lots of us love to make stitch-markers and I've seen some wonderful beaded stitch/row counter bracelets. Obviously hand-made items should be of a quality you would be happy to receive yourself and the minimum £10 spend requirement still holds so good materials please!

If there is something you would particularly NOT want to get, for instance if you have tape measures falling out of every drawer and project bag already, then mention that in the comments too.

There will be 2 weeks from sign-up to send your items so that should be plenty of time even if you need to buy things online.

Enjoy! Any questions just contact me.

I love wooden dpns (particularly sock sizes) and would love a fabric case to keep dpns in. I also love the Clover chibi darning needles.

I would like some more Chibi needles (seem to have mislaid mine somewhere.....) also a row counter would be useful.

I must be dumb but I don't know what chibi needles are, someone tell me Bev

I'm always loosing my Chibi needles. And I would really love some really cool stitch markers for bigger sized needles and someway to keep my circular needles organized. I had a hanging circular needles holder, but the cats thought it was a toy. Gotta love cats :)

Bev - no, you're not dumb! Chibi needles are made by Clover, they are darning needles and come in various sizes and they come in a clever little screw top case to keep them together. Lots of places sell them including here http://www.jimmybeanswool.com/secure-html/onlinegen/currgen/Clover/JumboDarningNeedleSetChibi.asp

I like cute needle toppers (the things that make sure your stitches don't fall off), I need/want lace needles - lol, um ... a row counter clicker thingy ... umm, I'm pretty open to whatever you'd like to send me :-)

Hi there, I could always use some cable needles (haven't tried cabling yet), stitch markers, or long circulars (any size, but long enough to hold a throw or something on it). Hmm....that's all I can think of. If this helps, I am a newish knitting but have TONS of straight needles, but am not sure what else I would need as far as accessories are concerned!

Thanks!

My parcel arrived yesterday - thanks Sharon! It contained cable needles, sewing needles, a yarn holder and a knitting gauge measurer - which I will be sure to try out when I am back from my hols. I'm off to the post office now to post my parcel off to the US.

I got my parcel from Marie Sierra this morning and it was wonderful. AS well as stitch markers, lavender swag sachets, green tea, a handmade dishcoth, yarn she also sent a gorgeous little basket "to collect eggs" (I have just started keeping chickens) and a book "Amigurumi: Super Happy Cute" which I have been lusting after for ages....thanks so much. I'll post some piccies later.
