Description:

Some children's music is almost impossible to listen to. The high pitched voices and repeating lyrics. If you have a hard time listening to typical children's music, but enjoy this genre of music, this swap is for you.

The dealio: Make a mix cd of at least 15 songs of tolerable children's music. Think Raffi, Laurie Berkner, Dan Zanes...etc. Try to avoid the typical songs, branch out.

Edited to swap with 1 partner

Send 1 Mix CD with track listings to 1 partner. Make sure to include a note with your swap bot user name so your partner can rate you.

This swap is open to people with a rating of 4.8 or higher, sorry no one wants to be flaked on.

If you have any questions feel free to pm me. This is my first host swap, so lets avoid conflict :)

Let's get silly and have some fun with children's music.

I'm guessing "It's a small world" isn't allowed? lol =^_^=

Its a good song, but probably not for this swap. I am a radio DJ, I do a children's show, so I was hoping to swap for some new music. It needs to be music that adults could stand to listen to. lol.

Oh my gosh! I know it's in bad form but I'd want to send all of "Here Come the ABCs" by They Might Be Giants. I listen to that CD when my kids aren't around!!

Oh, definitely going to have to look through my stuff for this one. I already know I'm pulling out some of my Sandra Boyton, but I've got a bunch of other ones that my son loves to listen to. And if I can get new music for him, bonus!

Nicole Black, do you know TMBG has another kids' CD called "No!"? I like that one more than the ABC disc.

I am sad I can't participate in this one because my computer won't make CDs. :(

They Might Be Giants are totally awesome! They are so goofy, my son loves them too!! Sandra Boyton has recorded children's music, shes an author right?

Thanks ladies for joining!!

She is. But she's made three CDs. The first one was called Rhinoceros Tap and that was words and music by Sandra Boynton and sung by (I think) her family. The next two, Philadelphia Chickens and Dog Train, were again written by her but sung by various famous people. For example, on Philadelphia Chickens, you have Scott Bakula singing "Pig Island" and Patti LuPone singing "I Like to Fuss". On Dog Train, Weird Al Yankovic and Kate Winslet do a duet called "I Need a Nap". Heck with what my son thinks about it, they're MY favorite CDs! :)

lol! I love it! I am going to have to check her out. I wonder if we have it at the radio station?? Hmm....new mission. Thanks for the info. I just love the kids music, it always makes me happy and silly!

PisceanMama, so far its just me and you. If no one else signs up I will switch it to 1 partner--YOU!

Come on people sign up---this will be fun!!!

PisceanMama 08/24/2007 #

I was wondering about that! :) But then you'd know for sure that you'll get your hands on some Sandra Boynton!

Your right! I want some Sandra Boynton, I previewed some of her music on Itunes, it is great! I guess we'll see what happens on Sunday. Thanks for joining!
