I'm going to try to host a magic yarn ball swap for each month... I just love magic yarn balls... thank you to everyone that participated in the past swaps... for this swap, you will make ONE magic yarn ball.... try to make the theme of the ball match your partner's profile... BUT it doesn't have to!! you could also just do a theme that relates to the month..... november = thanksgiving december = christmas january = new year february = valentine's march = st. pats day i just don't want to limit these swaps to a theme... b/c so many people on this site may be able to do so many other things on their own!! I've never seen such an amazing group of crafters... (HORRAY swap-bot!!!) please don't use cheap 100% acrylic yarn... OR put cheap things IN the yarn ball... make something nice... something you'd LOOOOVE to receive!!! you can search google or flickr for magic yarn ball pics/ideas here's a place to upload your sent/received swap-bot magic yarn balls http://www.flickr.com/groups/1583757@N22/ thanks momwithahook!! there are some WONDERFUL ones out there!!! you could also include a pattern that would go with the yarn you send.... you could use just one larger skein of yarn... or two small skeins. or, imagine a beautiful hand tied skein!!!! it's all up to you!!! this is senders choice

Just specify in your profile no animal fiber yarn ~ your partner will understand. Bamboo and cotton are common enough to find (especially for those trying to destash)

This is my first magic ball too, but I understand that anything you believe your partner will like and manage to partially conceal in the ball goes. I've seen images of magic balls which contained seed packets, rubber duckies, display figurines, stitch markers, pens, pretty fabric remnants, stickers, etc. The best way to figure out what you want to include would probably be to interrogate your pattern (nicely of course).
