3 aspects of Brighid - Imbolc swap

Okay, so this time I wanted to post in plenty of time so people will actually have this in time for Imbolc, not just make it during that time ;-) This is a repeat of a swap I did... well earlier this year I suppose, as it was jan/feb 2010. It was great fun so I thought I would post it again:

Imbolc comes strongly associated with a Celtic goddess who oversees inspiration. The Irish, Scots and Manx considered this holiday to belong to Brighid or Bride (pronounced breed), a patroness of smithcraft, healing and poetic inspiration whose name can be derived from the Gaelic "breo-aigit" or "fiery arrow."

In this swap we will honor Brighid by creating a swap for our partner that incorporates her 3 aspects.

You will send your partner 3 things:

Smithcraft = For this we will just go with the craft part ;-) Send something handmade by you.

Healing = Use your imagination, this can be a crystal with healing properties, a healing spell or whatever else you can think of that you associate with healing. (Last time I sent a small goddess figurine to my partner, as to me the goddess is very healing. Like I said, be creative, just explain yourself).

Poetic inspiration = Look at your partners profile for this one and buy or make something inspired by that profile. (Please have a well filled out profile if you join this so people are able to make or buy you something without trouble).

Include a letter or card explaining the items and why you picked/made them and what it means to you.

*** PLEASE NOTE: A lot of people in the survey wanted a set dollar amount to participate, so I am starting with this swap. Let's say 7-10 USD for the entire swap before postage. So spend no less than 7 USD and no more than 10 USD. When dipping into your personal stash for supplies please be fair when estimating the value.***
