Knitting Kittens Knit Mittens

I have never knitted mittens. Anyone have a super-easy pattern to share?

This one looks very similar to the one I used to learn to knit mittens. I remember I had to look up some of the abbreviations online and there were many helpful tutorials. The only thing I'd knitted before embarking on mittens was was dishcloths.

soooo, it's been pointed out to me that the holidays approach...would this swap look more attractive next year? Should we just use our pockets until then?

Personally, I would be more inclined to sign up if we had more time between dates. I know it's Sender's Choice, but I would choose to find out what size mittens my partner wears before I start them, and what colors they like, or more importantly, don't like. After making them, I would like my partner to actually WEAR them.. lol.

I wwear a med/lg women's size, or a med size men's. I like dark red the most, but would be happy with any colors except pastels or neons.

I love the idea but need to get my Christmas knitting done first.

I usually wear a small but larger is okay because then I wear gloves underneath for hockey (brr!) And any color but white would be fine--my mittens often don't even match.
