Faeries were a popular Victorian fascination, so let's combine both themes to create for 4x4 inch works of art! Mixed media is welcome (fabric, hand drawn/painted, collage etc.), but using an vintage photo would be cool. You Must have a 4.7 rating and NO No Sends. I will ban those who do not meet these requirements. 1) PLEASE READ: You Must add a half inch border to the LEFT hand side of your piece. thus, these are physically 4x4.5 inches :) 2) The Backs: You must decorate the back a little bit, Please make it attractive (let's all aim for hearts in our ratings!) ALSO you must include your contact info on the back :) 3) Partner info: You will each have two partners , to whom you will send one 4x4 each : You are making a total of Two 4x4 artworks. I am having everyone make only two, because I want everyone to take their time and make something special, quality, not quantity is key. 4) You all have two weeks after the closure date to create your pieces, this is enough time to find out your partners favorite colors for example. 5) International Participants welcome!

i dont understand the border bit must it be a noticeable border or is it only if you are starting with an atc size card.

The border is only on the left side of the card, and is for folks who want to bind their pages together to form a book. I'll probably be hanging my in the wall, but it's easier to cut a border off, rather than try to make one!

Just paint your left hand border a plain solid color, but otherwise leave the extra half inch un-decorated. (remember the half inch is added to the 4x4, making it 4x4.5!)

And also, could you please clarify the theme? Vintage fantasy or Victorian faeries? What exactly do you mean by these?

My apologies for so many questions. I just want to make sure I follow the rules correctly!

Hi Jessmarie! yeah, these are like chunky/fat books :) but please keep bulky embellishments minimal, if at all. A lot of people like their books to be able to close!

Regarding theme: This is interpretational; it would be nice if people used and altered an old photo into a fantasy theme. That's kind of what I was going for, but other than that, be creative and have fun doing what you like :)
