CHALLENGE! get 2 balls of cotton yarn 2.5 oz/120-150 yards avg ( peaches and cream or lily, nothing fancy) get your favorite way of dying cotton yarn ( dylon, idye, RIT, jaquard and tulip make GREAT dyes for cotton yarn!) have fun! send them to your partner have fun seeing your partners' yarn creation~! you MUST name your yarn and make a paper label and do not send a ball, harder to ship. also, put a small surprise in there for your partner and a note about the yarn! I figured this will be something different, cheap and fun! use your creativity and look up some dying techniques! great beginner swap, but no flakes. I am manually monitoring this swap.

My understanding is cotton cannot be dyed with kool-aid. Does anyone know otherwise?

i have done it, it just took some practice and alum, i will delete it anyhow, so people don't get frustrated! thanks and join the swap!

geekchickrys- good to know about the koolaid, I do have a big stash in my room. I hate to let the kids drink it.

I'm still watching but I did order some dye! We'll have to see how it comes out.
