Does a postcard need to be on CARD?

This is the NOT YOUR USUAL POSTCARD group right?

I've been a big fan of naked mail for a long time, and have posted quite a bit of it over the years. I was tossing up whether to post this across the whole site, but I thought a lot of my postcard mates might have a good time with it.

Naked mail is sending something without wrapping through the post (a bit like a naked postcard). You need to find something interesting to send someone. It doesn't need to have any practicality to it at all. BUT IT DOES NOT GET WRAPPED AT ALL!

Examples of things I've sent over time (and I do not mind if people use these, but it is a lot more fun to find your own) are:

a frisbee - nice and easy to write an address on and attach stamps to.

a shoe - not as easy to address or stamp, but interesting to work out sending, and great to receive!

a plastic child's cricket bat - again good for marking, but it was big and cost more to send.

a hat - more practical.

These are a few examples of mine, but there's no limit!

Things to beware of are making sure that it is clearly marked and will not get lost (I've even tied tags to things that were strange shapes or small in size), being careful of size or weight because it might cost to send (I'm from Australia, so this will be an international swap), and try to make whatever you are sending not sooo attractive that some self-serving postal worker might see to it that it gets "lost" in transition.

I'm allowing a couple of weeks for sign-up, so please tell any other members that are friends about this, and it will also give you time to look even before you know who you have to send to!

Oh, and this is a postcard group, so it might be a nice touch if you can manage a little bit of correspondence somewhere, even if it is just a sentence...
