Summary: 1 partner X ONE Dresden Plate Block (yep, two blocks this time)

Be sure to put your name on one spoke for each block.

--One partner

--one Dresden Plate block AGAIN this time – sending a 12 ½” block (made from 100% cotton)

--white quality background fabric (may be white on white or solid white)

--plate spokes in cheerful scrappy print colors (no predominately black, brown or gray please)

--each Dresden plate should have a yellow center (centers can be solid yellow or tone on tone yellow or yellow with a little white only)

--put your name on TOP of one of the spokes on your 12 ½” block (use fabric markers or embroidery) so once the quilt is assembled we will know who sent us each block

This will be a scrappy quilt block swap and all the blocks will be variations of Dresden plates with white backgrounds and cheery yellow centers. The block you are sending must be 12 ½”. Here are your block options:

---you may want to make one large Dresden plate to cover the whole 12 ½” block, (except the ¼” seam allowance).

---or you may want to make multiple smaller Dresden Plates on your 12 ½” block (always allowing a 1/1/4” seam allowance around the block)

---or you could do ½ Dresden plate on two corners of the block, (each corner will look like an opened fan)

--or you can do the ¼ Dresden plate on all 4 corners of the block, as long as the block measures 12 ½” when you send it out.

Use your imagination to create beautiful blocks you’ll be proud to swap. If you want to embellish the Dresden plate, make sure all embellishments are machine washable. You might even want to make it a crazy quilt Dresden plate with embroidery work, lace, buttons and trim.

We will make this an International swap because it should not be too expensive to ship two blocks to one partner.

If this swap is well received we’ll have at least 12 to 16 swaps.
