Example: Charlie stood at the pulpit, looking over the pews. This was the triumph. Seminary, and before that, a life with his godly mother and father had been the beginning. Church every Wednesday and twice on Sundays. Choir Tuesday. Community outreach Saturday. Bible study Thursday. They had not groomed him for service to the Lord, they had simply brought him along on their journey of service. In their house, the Lord was part of the family. A constant, beloved part that was always reliable. They never went hungry. Never needed for anything. God provided.

Today, Charlie would preach his first sermon in his own ministry. He hoped his fair Clara would attend. He had met Clara while still in seminary. The ring he carried in his pocket weighed heavily. He had bought it the day after their first date. He had know even then that he wanted her to be the one.

If she came today, it would be the sign he had been waiting for for 2 years. If she came today, it was a sign that God had made her just for him.
