I've been a single mom for 15 years and raised two wonderful kids, who are now in college. I still work full time, but am finding I have more time on my hands, so I'm starting to do the things I loved to do before kids...sewing, crafts, etc.

The last things I sewed were an Indian Halloween costume for my son and some dance costumes for my daughter. Then my sewing machine broke and I haven't done much since. I got a new sewing machine for Christmas, so I am back in business and going wild buying up fabric and and crafting supplies!

My first project was an apron for the Sassy Flirty Apron swap, but I have a whole list of things I want to make, from potholders to quilts!

I love to make and collect holiday decorations. It started out with just Christmas decorations, but my obsession has grown to decorating for every holiday! I especially like holiday-themed kitchen towels, napkins, candles, wall hangings, throws, stuffed animals dressed in holiday outfits, wreaths, and ornaments.

I also love scarves of all kinds - knit for winter and silk or fabric for warmer seasons. I wear them more than jewelry and for all seasons and holiday's, of course!

My favorite food is anything Italian. I worked in an Italian restaurant when I was in high school and I fell in love with the atmosphere. I love the dishes, the candles, Italian Music (we had a real acordian player who walked around and played for the guests) My kitchen is done with an Italian theme with deep reds, greens, and white.

I have lived in Oregon my whole life, but I am curious about other parts of the US and the world. I hope I can travel someday and experience new places.

I am easy-going, generous, easy to please and very dependable. I promise not to flake on anyone!

Books...where do I start, they are like my friends! I collect many more books than I can read! Right now I'm into apron books and how to make homemade cards! I also like inspirational or feel good true stories. The last book I read was "The Necklace". I also like magazines and short stories. I don't have as much time as I would like to read, so it's nice to be able to read a whole story in a short period of time. I also like cookbooks and fun fiction by Debbie Macomber.

Favorite book of all time - Bridges of Madison County and others by Robert James Waller

I am partial to romantic comedies and musicals and anything with Tom Hanks, Patrick Dempsey, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, and Meg Ryan. Some of my favorites are:

My favorite places are places I traveled to with my kids. We've spent many summer birthday's at Disneyland and the Oregon Coast. When my son was in Jr. High, we went to Italy on a school trip -- Venice, Florence, and Rome. It was a dream trip! When my daughter graduated from high school, we spent several weeks in New York City. I have such great memories of that trip!

Color Likes: My colors change with the seasons! I like traditional holiday colors during holidays. Winter- Light Blue and White; Spring - Light Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink; Summer - Bright Red, Yellow and Green; Fall - It's my favorite season and I like all the colors of fall leaves...red, yellow, orange, brown.

Color Dislikes - Grey

Style likes - I like feminine, girly girl styles. I have to dress professionally at work, so it is fun to come home and put on something fun, flirty, and pretty.
