I am a new mom looking for inspiration. Years ago, I was a member of Nervousness, a swap group from the early 00's. I had a great time swapping ATC's, traveling journals, postcards, and art. I was hoping that joining a good, established swap group would help me reinvigorate my creative fire - and I know it will bring me great ideas from the outside world.

Hitchhiker's Guide series, all Walter Moers books, Lord of the Rings, Fablehaven series, and all kinds of nonfiction (mostly on religious history or current social history). Read like a fiend, and love to share.

My old crafts were painting, collage, dreamcatchers, macrame, and other multimedia constructions. Hoping to pick up new ones...

Spiritual but not religious, never offended except by stupidity and meanness, love things that have been pre-loved, upcycled, recycled, remade, renewed, salvaged, and saved. Used to be an excellent dumpster diver, but live where there are less pickins now.

Don't Care For: Dogma; Earnestly Cutesy anything (unless it's a satire on it); Manga; Television; empty sentiment; pink; plastic (purchased plastic, that is); commercialism & greed; Organized Religion of any sort (love the symbols & spirits of them all, but the preaching and hate has got to go)
