Pushing 60, happily single. Crazy Cat Lady-dom just snuck up on me. Servant to 5 felines. Employed as civil servant/wage slave. Solitary by nature since birth. Require peace, quiet and cats to think, dream and create. Not misanthrope just know my people threshold.

I love historical domestic arts and my dream job would be textile artist, experimental archaeologist or historical reenactor. I love to cook and dine out, Indian, Middle Eastern, Vietnamese, Korean, something cool and exotic please!

Gilligan's Island is my all time favorite TV show and Prof Roy Hinckley and Darryl of Larry, Darryl and Darryl my secret crushes. I prefer nonfiction to novels, and documentaries, Bollywood and 1930s to 60s classic movies. The two movie stars I most resemble are Marjorie Main and Godzilla.

Eclectic music tastes include Mozart, Tiki/Exotica, Indian, Bob Marley, Medieval/Renaissance and Middle Eastern.

I like prim and MCM aesthetics and 2 of my favorite artists are Brueghel and Shag. I like both serious and tongue in cheek domestic goddess stuff. I like fall and winter, HATE summer unless there is a Tiki theme. I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I crochet and knit animals, socks, hats and the occasional afghan and wall hanging and contribute to Hats & More for War-Torn Syria and the local Humane Society Cat Enrichment Program when time and $$ allow.

RE: Penpals: I would enjoy connecting with creative people. I value the contents of a Ietter over the appearance. I like the minutiae of everyday life best: what we cooked today, what projects we're working on, what books we're reading. I'm not big on letter art although I have done some pretty exciting outer space cat themed holiday cards but they were OOAK and took DAYS. BTW: I don't do birthdays or any holidays but Halloween Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I love Tiki items and 50s and 60s kitsch especially animals and especially squirrels and cats. Stuffed animals, linens, fabric, textiles, junk jewelry, miniatures. Handmade one of a kind things from findings and junk. Kid- made items. Not expensive, just original and cool! Sequins and glitter are always a plus. Clowns and circuses creep me out and I hate franchises like Disney Warner Bros Peanuts Star Wars etc.

I dont do anything Harry Potter, fantasy/wizardy/fairy including unicorns dragons and other mythical creatures except for the Yule Cat who is after all a cat and probably just misunderstood. I know a lot of very cool people love these things but they are not for me. Zombies and robots are ALWAYS cool, ditto Godzilla and T-Rex.

Craft Supplies: I'm always on the lookout for REAL felt, not that papery/plastic recycled stuff to make felt houses and animals; small buttons/beads/junk jewelry/findings to embellish costumes made for 4" to 5" mice ( I mean REALLY small!) and sparkly a plus; and tiny baskets to accessorize 4-5" mice.

I just don't do any paper crafts although I would like to try glitter houses. Yarn & textiles my forte. May have some paper punch goodies to swap for the above.
