Happy day everyone! I'm new to swapbot and basically looking for pen pals and some fun friends! I moved away to another city with my husband (for his work) and find myself a stay at home wife and in a town where very few people speak English. As I do not speak French communication can be an issue...

I'm just starting out so I will probably only do 1 mail swap a month, Canada Post prices can be silly! I want to be able to put all my focus into the 1-2 packages :) People love pretty things of course and I love making people pretty things.

Anyway, I should probably talk about my likes. I have 2 fat and adorable cats maybe soon to be a puppy. No kids and no desire for them and I spend most of my time playing video games, reading, cooking or exploring. I love cute paper and craft items to use in my journal and planner or anything reading related. I have a rustic, homey, comfy, relaxed style. My favorite colour is green but a very light cyan is beautiful too. Oh and that burnt orange colour leaves get sometimes.

I've finally had an opportunity to use my fancy camera although I'm definitely still a novice and finally have gotten back into drawing. I've always dabbled but stopped for about 6 years due to an overly busy schedule. Needless to say I'm a bit rusty ;)

I've been to university but dropped out, no way to make a living for such a high amount of debt. Now I'm figuring out what I want to do finally. Not that I have any clue.

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I absolutely love winter, skiing is something we want to try this year. I'm not religious but the season is a great unreal bringing family together... Also sugar cookies, am I right?

I live on the east coast of Canada about 20 seconds from the water, thank goodness for that. I grew up in a harbour town and have not been far except that one time I went to Toronto.

On weekends we explore and just relax, having fun doing dumb stuff. My husband and I have been together since high school and we're both pretty quiet people.

I love hearing about other's lives and quirks and going-ons. I like being surprised and being shown new things. Oh and tea, I drink a ton of tea. Mostly herbal, camomile and green topping the list. Not that coffee isn't good ;)

So far there are 2 main things I don't like, spiders and raisins. Not in that order either. Raisins are gross and I recently discovered sometimes people put them in carrot cake. That's a bad surprise. They taste and feel like gummy boogers, yuck.

That's a weird place to end at but you know what? I think that says it all. :)
