Hello, Hello Hello! I am Nina, a woman in her late 30s, living in Vancouver, Canada. I am originally from Germany and I had lived in Sweden for 12 years before moving to Canada recently. I have been into penpalling and swapping ever since I was a teen, but took breaks from it every now and then. I just returned from one of those breaks, after my life having been turbulent for a while. But things are more chill now, and I can focus on the fun things in life again! I spend my free time working with mental health advocacy, reading, writing, going to concerts, taking pictures and being with my boyfriend. I love music, literature, philosophy, psychology, helping others, being creative, everything connected to the goth scene, blogging, cats, bats, animals in general, nature, cooking, fashion, history and historical sights and much more.

I am really into gothic, old school goth, gothic rock, darkwave, postpunk, deathrock and some industrial, ebm and the occassional rock song.

I like classic literature the most, that includes genres like realism, magical realism, 19th century literature and poetry. I also like some historical fiction and vampire novels. My favourite authors are Dostojevskij, Kafka, Tolstoj, Thomas Mann, Bram Stoker, Virginia Woolf, the Bronte sisters, Edgar Allen Poe, Diana Gabaldon, Anne Rice, Haruki Murakami, Sofi Oksanen, Karin Boye and many many more.
