My name is Miranda. Some of you may know me as ButterCreamCakeArtist. I have been sewing since I was a little girl. My Mom taught me a few things about sewing. I love making things, especially from fabric. I also like to make jewelry and many other pretty things! :D I have made quilted items, but I have not made a quilt, yet. I am the owner of Miranda's Creations...I sell fabric, and anything for quilting, sewing, embroidery, punch needle, and just about any craft you can think of. I'm a unique person. I'm generally silly/goofy and like to have fun. I have an Embroidery/Sewing machine that I LOVE LOVE LOVE! It's so fun! :D

Music~Something I love. I like most types of music. Some of my favorite artists are: Gretchen Wilson, Nirvana, Ramones, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Big and Rich, Green Day, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Tanya Tucker, Kid Rock, Stray Cats, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Tom Petty, and that's just a few of my favorites! I can get into almost anything if it's good! :D

I love to read. I like to listen to audio books, too. Some of my favorite authors are Stephen King, Nora Roberts, VC Andrews, and Nicholas Sparks. I really like horror and suspense more than just romance novels.

I also really like non-fiction books about things I am interested in...such as Volkswagens or crafts or painting or how-to's.

I like any Stephen King movie or Nora Roberts based on the book. I like to watch the movies after I have read the books. I also like the Stepford Wives (and the book), The Notebook, Dirty Dancing, Fried Green Tomatoes, Walk The Line, Where the Heart Is, Christine, and most horror/suspense. I also like any movie with Nicolas Cage or Adam Sandler or Drew Barrymore.

I really don't watch much tv.

I don't really have a favorite craft. I like so many! I can crochet only a little, and I was trying to learn to knit right before the baby got active in crawling and walking! I love to sew and machine embroider, and quilt...I love painting, making jewelry, and CAKE DECORATING! I like to do some cross stitch sometimes. I also like to embroider--the regular kind. If it's crafty, I'm probably into it! My latest obsession is hand-dying fabric!!! :D Lately, I've really been into making small, hand-made dolls! Love 'em! Love doll swaps!

We live on a farm, pretty much in the woods. I like pictures and fabric with sheep and farm animals and red barns. This farm doesn't have any red barns, but it isn't my farm (but we own our own part). It is my MIL's farm. We have a Jack Russell Terrier (Daisy--pre-owned and pre-named), one cat (Bloomer), and 2 Hermit Crabs (Kasey Kahne the racing crab and Krusty). I like to cook and create new recipes. I try to cook and eat healthy. I'm also in a weight-loss battle. I have hypothyroidism, and it is really hard to lose...I think I've actually hit the point where I've stopped gaining.
I love to collect fabrics and sewing/quilting/crafting supplies. I really like fabrics with black in them and other bright colors mixed in. I would like to get some of the VW fabric I've seen online. I like bright fabrics, too. AND FABRIC WITH METALLIC IN IT! I love photography and gardening, both veggie and flowers.
We have a travel trailer (camper) that we've gone camping in some. I would love to go camping more.
We went to the beach this year (2007). It was nice. We went to Cape Hatteras and stayed on Hatteras Island in Buxton, OBX, NC. I enjoyed it. The kids really didn't care to much about it. (2008) we went back to Carolina Beach.

I have been married since I was 18, to the man I met when I was 16. This year will make us 9 years of marriage. We have been together for 10.5 years. We have two beautiful babies, 6 and 3.

We have 1 vintage VW Super beetle, 2 VW sand buggies, 1 VW rail buggy, 1 '55 Ford Fairlane, 1 '69 Chevy truck (which is almost out of the reconstruction phases)----, an older Jeep Wrangler, an Atlantic Blue Pearl Quad Cab Ram (pulls the camper), and I drive a Dodge Magnum RT (with a HEMI). Hubby drives something different every day bc he is sales manager at a car lot. I like VWs, Dodges, and muscle cars.

I also like Halloween and Halloween fabric. Pumpkins, Fall, Moon, Stars, Astrology (although I haven't been into astrology much in the past couple years), sewing, quilting, my embroidery machine, irridescent stuff, shiny things, variegated thread, Celestial, fairies/faeries, beads, silver, nature, pine trees, sewing notions, water/ocean/sea/sand/seashells/palmtrees/fishing/boats--stuff about the water. Mix CDs Anything Quilty or Sewing-Related: patterns, notions, quilt blocks, tote bags.
Sewing/Quilting/Beading/Jewelry-Making magazines. charms, beads, handmade bracelets and jewelry Magnetic beads Hematite beads semi-precious stones as beads or charms or just stones to sit and look pretty. (like amethyst and quartz, etc.)
