I’m Mrs. Haley. I am an avid mail swapper, and was pleased as punch to find this delightful little community. (How do I already sound like an old maid? I'm only in my late 20's.) I am quite the crafty individual, and I am hoping to get my dilapidated blog back up and running over the next year… maybe some of your swaps will be featured! Since I am going to have some more time on my hands than usual in the coming months, I thought it would be fun to gather some new pals for exchanging snail mail media and also some new, creative ideas to share with my existing pen pals. Some of my pen pals and I have been writing since we were young kiddos. I am not a flake.

Mr. H and I love to travel. My craft room shares the theme of our wedding: Maps & Globes. I think passion is a nice word for “obsession”, so we’ll call it a passion I have for things that tell you where you are. :) Mr. H could not read a map if our road trips depended on it, so I am chief navigator! We take at least one 2,000+ mile road trip a year, so I usually have tales and tidbits from my travels. I love postcards, especially ones that are hard to come by. If you have one in mind that I can pick up along the way, give me a shout and I’ll keep an eye out.

I have a Whippet dog named Autzen! He's absolutely the best dog in the whole world. He likes to go for rides and snuggle.

These are the big trips we take together. They exclude short and solo trips. Anything that is just airport-airport doesn’t count!

Smashables. A girl's gotta smash. (Google Smashbook if you have no idea what I am talking about.)

Loose leaf tea. Mr. H and I enjoy a cup of loose leaf herbal tea together, every night before bed. I have bought a few sampler packs off amazon in addition to the bigger bags I have. If you are interested in sending me tea, I would prefer a loose leaf pack to a teabag. That said, I promise not to go all tea snob on you if you send me a teabag. I appreciate all swaps with effort.

Local tidbits and anything international. If you have something laying around that I can't find in my part of the world (and by that I mean either the Pacific Northwest where I live now, or the Midwest, where I grew up.)

Star Wars. I love the whole series and I'm so excited for the new ones! Our living room is tastefully Star Wars themed. If you didn’t think that was possible, let me just tell you, it was not easy.

Our Bedroom is forest themed. Mr. H found an old huge Acrylic painting of a forest scene in his mom's attic, on a student's flat canvas. It's phenomenal, and we desperately wanted to build our bedroom decor around it, because that painting is a "happy place" for both of us. If you were inclined to paint, draw, or build anything that has a foresty feel, it might just find a place of honor in our woodland getaway. :)

Chocolate anything. I know it's weird, but I'm that one girl that doesn't like chocolate.

Chai Tea. Ick. I don't like the dessert-type spices and chai is like a cup full of them. Not my cuppa tea.

Baby/Kid Stuff. Someday, but I'm not there yet.

Religious material that is not Christian. If our beliefs don't align, that is A-OK with me. I won't send you a Holy Bible, you don't send me a Wiccan Pentacle. Deal?

I will always send a swap, usually within a day or two of partners being assigned. If you don't receive a swap you were expecting from me, please let me know so I can get another one in the mail quickly. I don’t know what is up with my post office, but some of my Christmas Cards got returned (for no forwarding address) in mid-late January this year, so they’re not exactly prompt.

If you have any problems with a swap from me, whether you feel it didn't meet your expectations, there's additional postage due, or anything of the sort PLEASE let me know in a message so I can fix the mistake. I always want to be making the day of the person I send to (and getting a 5 rating). Anything less, I would like a chance to repair.

I'm apparently partially suspended, right now. I don't know why. I just joined and signed up for 2 swaps. (both of which, I have sent out...) I have googled about how this could have happened... It seems the computer just makes mistakes from time to time. I'm sending emails to see how to fix the situation. Others with the same problem have had a lot of trouble getting it undone, so I might be locked out for some time, but I would still love to do any private swaps if anyone is interested!
