I've been MIA for about 5 years and haven't done hardly anything crafty in a long time, I've started working for myself doing nails so I think that used up some of my crafty juices, i still have a whole room downstairs just full of paper crafts supplies and I miss it greatly. Thinking I may need to get back into the swing of things

I love paper crafting and altering items. I enjoy swapping and was informed of this site by my friend Peggie (Artisticsole, and yes I'm shamelessly name dropping LOL) so I will poke around to see what it's all about.

I was told I should beef up my profile so people can learn a little more about me. Well I'm married to my awesome husband (married in 2005, dating since 1996). We don't have kids so we're a couple of "DINK"s (dual income no kids LOL) we like to travel with our free time.

I work for myself now as an esthetician (nails for 4 years and just graduated esthetics school) in what feels like a lifetime ago I used to manage veterinary hospitals.

Since we don't have children we get the sound of pitter patter from our three cats, one dog.

So besides entertaining our fur babies and traveling I LOVE to scrap, well not your traditional scrapbook layouts. Actually the only layouts I've made were from classes and I haven't even filled an album yet. I much prefer Mini albums you can finish them in a day or weekend and it's much less intimidating, plus they're fun to handle and look at. I'm also loving ATC's and #8 tags right now, twinchies are my next fav and I'm kinda diggin' 3x3 cards too I'm not really into your traditional card, I mean don't get me wrong I LOVE receiving them but I'm so over card making right now but if asked I'll make you one no prob. :) oh and I LOVE altering items and upcycling garbage like using boxes, containters, pop caps, finding alternate uses for them.

My favorite style/techniques right now is grungy, vintage, steampunk. I love anything distressed, my fav color combos are grey & white, pink & brown, browns, earthy tones, I'm really not picky but anything grungy/vintage or even shabby chic and i'm drooling or doing a happy dance.

I'm not really into cutesy, NO religious items/images/icons please I won't spontaneously combust if presented with such, but I'm not exactly religious in ANY way lol and I just won't get any use out of it.

I'm not into clean and simply styles I love layers and embellishments so pile the more junk on there and I'm a happy girl. I'm still trying to explore my crafty talents and love swapping to get out of my comfort zone and learn new things.

Other things I enjoy are nail art, geocaching with the hubby and dog, camping, day trips, reading, taking photos, trying new foods, sushi, indian food, dimsum, I collect pens (seriously an obsession), ummmm i'm sure theres other things but just can't think right now.

Dubstep, dancemusic anything with a good beat to get the creative juices flowing.

Scrapbooking/papercrafts, ATC's, Mini albums, Altered items, nail art, twinchies, 3"x3" cards, altered items.
