Hi everyone! I'm a divorced mom with three kids - two grown sons and a 13 year old daughter. My daughter and I live on 10 acres in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks.

I have lived and traveled all over the U.S. My international travel has so far been limited to Mexico and the U.K. I would love to spend a great deal of time in India and southeast Asia.

I have large flowerbeds and I love gardening. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and kayaking. I collect vintage kitchen utensils and cookbooks as well as individual recipes. I also collect small rocks with naturally occurring holes that go completely through them. In my little part of the world, these are called "friendship rocks."

I draw, and make fanciful doodles featuring names. I make all sorts of pickles, spice blends, and other long-keeping food items. I also make soaps, lotions, bath salts, and potpourri.

I would like to receive handmade jewelry items, small interesting rocks that you have found yourself (not purchased polished stones), recipes, your potpourri or spice blends, and interesting little items. I love love love fragrance samples, cosmetic samples, etc. I also like note cards. Oh, in the "Favorite Movies" section I mention that I like animated Disney movies. This does NOT mean that I want any sort of Disney themed items.

I love many, many, many different kinds of music. I listen to music from all over the world, such as Amadou & Mariam, Les Negresses Vertes, Atif Aslam, taiko drumming, folk music from all over the world, and many others.

I like early music, renaissance music, classical music, opera.

I also like old time country music, old time gospel, blue grass and classic country music.

Sometimes I like to listen to jazz greats like Billie Holiday, Etta James, and others of that genre. Sometimes I like to listen to smooth harmonies like the Mills Brothers or the Ink Spots. Sometimes I like to listen to big band music. Sometimes I like down and out blues like Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters.

Sometimes I like to listen to early rock. I love old rhythm & blues and motown. I love hard rock. I love indie rock. I do like to try to keep current, and I enjoy a lot of current pop music that I hear on the radio.

Primarily I read non-fiction, mostly history and biographies. But I also collect cookbooks, mostly ethnic cuisines. I also enjoy reading along with my daughter, so I read a lot of adolescent fiction these days - yes I enjoyed The Hunger Games series.

Well, my best friend and I laugh about this. I am a happy, high energy, light hearted person. But mostly dramas are my favorite movies. Atonement, A River Runs Through It, Memoirs of a Geisha, Shawshank Redemption.

But I like lighter fare, too. The Hangover, Hangover 2, and the Harold and Kumar movies are guilty pleasures for me. Moonstruck makes me laugh. I love the Disney animated movies. I have a weakness for Bollywood movies. Oh, and the Christopher Guest mockumentaries!
