About Me

I'm a 24 year old female residing in Manassas Virginia. I am afianced to a wonderful man named Joseph, whom I adore. My best friends live in Virginia, Ohio, and Florida so I'm quite used to using snail mail to communicate. I love calligraphy and origami and I tend to do both at my desk at work. I answer phones for a living, which can be tough sometimes, but is often fun when people are willing to be polite and patient. I enjoy talking to people and exchanging ideas.

Favorite Crafts

I do a lot of crafts so I'm going to list things here that I enjoy most and have the most experience in, but in no particular order.

Calligraphy; cross-stitch; origami; beading; latch hook; wood carving; stone carving; clay-work : both throwing pottery and clay sculpting; jewelry making : earring, necklaces, brace/anke-lets.

I'm sure there's more I'll add them as they come to me.

Favorite Books

Anything by Piers Anthony, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffery, Orson Scott Card, H.P. Lovecraft, Tanya Huff, Robert Aspirin, Spider Robinson.

I have more favourite Authors than I have favourite books I think, but if pressed I might say that the best thing I've read recently was The House of Leaves, which is an excellent read if you stick with it, though the format will perplex and annoy some.

Favorite Music

This would take forever to list as I listen to just about every genre and enjoy almost anything that is harmonious and most things that are discordant. What I can say is that my friend Damian makes the most wonderful mix discs that I listen too most often.

Favourite bands include but are not limited to, in no particular order: The Cars, Queen, Opeth, Dir en Grey, L'Arc en Ciel, Gackt Job, Miyavi, BoA, X Japan, Depeche Mode, Kilby Taylor, Frank Zappa

I'll add more as they come to me.

Favorite Television

Heros, House, and NCIS are really the only things I watch with any regularity. I don't watch much TV, perferring to read or craft in that time.

Supplies:

I can always use paper, any sort of paper, every sort of paper. I love stationary of any type: cards sheets, vellum, linen papers, papyrus (raw and painted), if it's paper, if you can write on it, if you can fold it I love it. I've been trying to get ahold of more wrapping paper since It's easy to make a card from the stuff or use the graphics on it to level up another piece.

I also love natural items like feathers, small pieces of drift wood, shells, porcupine quills (though I have some I can always use more), scraps of fur or even bone or ivory. Carved stone beads or charms are love, especially in jade, amethyst, or lapis.

Jewelry findings of any type are ever useful, but I have a hard time finding pin backs and barette clips.

Beads are love so long as they are glass, stone, or metal.

Colors:

Colors: My very favourite colors are blue, purple, and green, in no particular order. I love them grouped together best, but I also like them apart or in twos just as well. I also like the combinations of orange and blue or purple and orange. Metallics are love. I adore copper or bronze and blue, silver and green, purple and silver or gold. Other tricolors I like are black/green/silver,
