Hi, nice to meet you :)
My name is Lian, (age 39) I'm looking forward to send some fun and happy mail, and hopefully to find new penpals.
I love to read, travel, and spend time in nature. I enjoy crafting and creating collage art and vision boards. I love to meditate and practice yoga, and I just try to make the best out of each day.
My first penpal was my "Nona" (my grandmother). She was a wonderful and optimistic lady. We started to correspond when I was 6 years old and kept it for 20 years. It was our way to send love and care in an envelope and also to stay in touch, because we didn't live close to each other. So as you can see, my love to sending mail started when I was a child, but I still love it just the same.
I love to read, you'll never see me without a book in hand or nearby.
My favorite genres: historical fiction, dystopia, Sci-fi and fantasy, but to be honest, I read almost everything if it's good.
Here are some of my favorite books and authors:
All books by Robin Hobb Never let me go / Kazuo Ishiguro Where the crawdads sing / Delia Owens Lonesome dove / Larry Mcmurtry Piranesi / Susanna Clarke
I love reading your letter, it makes the swap so special to read something that you wanted to share.
Favorites: Postcards, stickers, bookmarks, washi tape samples, vintage book pages, music pages, tags, hand made paper, and ephemera to use in junk journals.
I love anything with birds, particularly waterfowl like storks, wild geese, and herons.
I like floral designs (sunflowers are my favorite), botanical and anything to do with nature.
Other interests: fairies, Moomin, and everything that is book related.
I collect postcards and bookmarks, and I like all bookmarks, also the free ones you get in the bookstore.
Only a short list of dislikes: Loose leaf tea, achievement and teacher stickers, Disney, Glitter. and candy. Thank you :)
I love swaping blank postcards, and as a postcrosser I'm always on the look for new postcards. It's nice to have a variety In my collection, so I'll probably be happy with any postcard you send. But I have only one request: please don't send blank touristy cards, because I don't have any use for those, unless you use it to write your note on - this I actually like. Just try to avoid the blank touristy postcards if you can.
Please take into consideration that shipping to and from Israel takes a long time.
It will take about 3-4 weeks to Europe and 4-6 weeks to United States and Australia.
I send all swaps on time, but it will still take a longer time to arrive than what you are used to.
However, if there is any problem, please contact me and let me know.
