I'm a retiree who doesn't miss going to work at all and now spend my days doing the things I never had time to do when I was working!!! I have one son who lives in Maine but no grandchildren. My companion is a 9 year old black-and-tan pomeranian that is a real joy for me ~ she definitely has her own personality and is so cute and funny and always brings a smile to my face :-)

HEALTH ISSUES: In case you don't hear from me or if I've failed to send my swap and you've tried to contact me and I haven't responded, I may be in the hospital with no access to a computer. I have severe COPD and have been hospitalized 6 times over the past 8 years for pneumonia and respiratory failure (once for 6 weeks) so there is always that little nuisance in my life that may spring up. I will, however, contact you as soon as I am back home and give you a firm date for when I will send out your swap. . . I definitely won't flake on you!!

I have collected Peter Pan things since I was a little girl. I do NOT collect Tinkerbell - although Tinkerbell is a part of the Peter Pan story, I was never drawn to her but rather was drawn to Peter Pan --- to fly, have adventures, and just have fun in life!

I'm pretty much a country gal and like all of the country singers, but also enjoy classical, pop, rock, and music from the 60s.

I am an avid reader and average 3-4 books a week - reading has been my friend since I was a little girl and I read every spare moment I have to late into the night. Favorite authors include Faye Kellerman, Chevy Stevens, Elin Hildebrand, Sandra Brown, Nora Roberts, Wendy Wax, David Bell, John Sandford, and Harlan Coben to name a few, and I'm always looking for new authors. I enjoy going to bookstores or perusing Amazon and finding books by new authors.

Enjoy good comedies, dramas and thrillers. . . favs include My Cousin Vinny, Best in Show, On Golden Pond, The Big Lebowski, Lonesome Dove, Pieces of April, 12 Angry Men.

I can watch any Law & Order regardless of how old they are. I also enjoy Blue Bloods, Amazing Race, Survivor, Rizzoli & Isles (will hate for it to end this season), Major Crimes and Married at First Sight. I also enjoy cooking competition shows like Hell's Kitchen, Baking Championships, Cupcake Wars, Master Chef (adults and the kids), Cooks or Cons, etc.

I love all PCs and really have no preferences although I do have some collections (see below). I do enjoy non-touristy PCs, unusual tourist attractions, animals other than the norm (think hedgehogs, squirrels, hamsters, etc), skylines, birds, famous people, interesting architecture, old buildings, art (in particular work by Edward Hopper). I have no problem with nudity in good taste.

Dislikes: Kawaii, sci-fi, teddy bears, cutesy or gory PCs.

I must admit I love receiving postcards regardless of the type ~ I find them so interesting for various reasons and have never been disappointed in any postcard I've received!

I don't really have a favorite color --- they're all pretty for different reasons. . .that's my problem with colors -- I like them all!!!

I try to be fair with my ratings and recognize that not everyone has the same abilities, style, or likes/dislikes. I give hearts for high quality work, using new or different techniques and when it is obvious that a person has put thought and effort into what they have sent ~~ I do not give hearts for poor quality work or because extras are included. Although it is a nice thought and gesture, I do not need any extras as I have so much of everything that I will never use it all! I may or may not put extras in with what I send ~ I expect to be rated on my work, not any extras I may include.
