16/3/19 Sorry i have not been able to send swaps or rate for the last few days. I picked up flu some weeks ago which developed into a chest infection. Since then it has also developed into a post viral syndrome. Getting out of bed was exhausting and I am still very tired although things are improving. I hope to be able to send off swaps and do the ratings in the next few days. I'm sorry about this, i tried to send a few off but didn't manage many! 2/4/19. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and best wishes. I'm trying to convince myself that things are improving. Some days are better than others. The upside if you can call it that, is that I've lost over stone in weight in 4 weeks!. Iamable to get out of bed for a few hours most days but regularly fall asleep in the middle of a meal. I am managing to send out a few swaps and doing a few ratings. Thank you so much for your continued patience.

16.5.19 The health problems I had came to a head just before Easter when I had a stroke. Came out of hospital yesterday. Mostly recovered apart from some weakness in my hands Holding small items is difficult and using a pen or keyboard is time consuming tiring and frustrating as my fingers have a mind of there own at times I will start clearing the back log but it may take a few weeks. Live between Edinburgh and Glasgow. I am now retired but have worked in the social work field, originally in child protection but more recently as an advocate for children and vulnerable adults. I enjoy reading, mostly cosy crime novels. I also like watching crime series on TV eg Miss Marple, Vera.I also enjoy wildlife programmes. I enjoy watching some sport especially cricket and go to aquafit 3 times a week. I like travelling particularly to eastern Europe but also visit relatives in Menorca and Lisbon. I have collected post cards for many years and like all kinds of cards. Have always enjoyed watching Disney films since I first saw Fantasia some 60+ years ago. It was a brilliant concept to mix classical music with animation. Also a big fan of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck cartoons. Snow White and the seven Dwarfs also has a timelessness about which appeals to the child in me

I have a number of favourite authors who set their plots from the dark ages to the 1940's Peter Tremayne especially Sr. Fidelma Ellis Peters. Especially Br. Cadfael Susan Gregory Rys Bowen Jacqueline Winspear Gladys Mitchell Dorothy Sayer Etcetc

Favourite movies/actors Anything with Judy Dench , Dame Maggie Smith, Fiona Shaw, Imelda Staunton James Bond Harry potter Ealing Comedies

Favourite TV. Historical Documentaries especially those by David Attenborough or Colin Stafford Johnson Crime series e.g Vera, Miss Marple ( not Marple), Fr Brown,Hetty Wainthrop

Pastimes Reading, strolling in the country, visiting statley homes, meeting up with friends for coffee or a meal

Collect just about any kind of post card. Touristy are perhaps my least favourite but don't have a problem receiving them. I am also fine with free or ad cards. I have a stash of amazing ones which often fit the theme but the swap blackballs them. Feel free to send them to me even if the swap suggests otherwise.

RATINGS If a swap that you are expecting from me doesn't appear please let me know BEFORE you rate me a 1. I always send out a swap but post cards in particular can get lost in the post and i will always be happy to resend. If i don't receive an expected swap I will always contact the swap partner before rating
