Hi! My name is Allison. I’m 46 years old and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have a 5 year old daughter who is the love of my life. She is my step-granddaughter who I had the blessing of adopting this past June. Her and I adopted a fluffy black kitten who she proceeded to name Dimitri Blackjack Batman.

My husband passed away in June 2020 and I’m working to discover who I am now and what my future looks like from here. I figure that distractions and happy mail are a good place to start.

I love to travel, I particularly love both Disney and cruises but any and all travel is wonderful. I enjoy collecting and playing board games but I need to find more people in real life who enjoy the same hobby. I love all things witchy and other pagan religion based, including tarot cards, crystals and the moon. I enjoy learning about all religions and I’m currently studying Buddhist philosophy.

I am a firm believer in acceptance and love for all people regardless of how people choose or are pulled to express themselves in this life. I am an ally.

I have favorites in pretty much all the music categories. My playlists include The Avett Brothers, Bishop Allen, Cat Stevens, Meat Loaf, Back Eyed Peas, Coldplay, John Denver, Lizzo, Queen, David Bowie, The Killers, Hootie & The Blowfish, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and so many other.

I will admit to having a soft spot for musicals as well.

I’m an avid book reader; I love physical books the most but it’s sometimes hard to find the time to stop and read. I enjoy audiobooks for the ease in listening while driving or multi-tasking. I also have a Kindle.

My favorites are Stephen King and other horror authors. I also enjoy true crime, time travel, and some science fiction.

I enjoy philosophy, pagan and metaphysical topics as well.

My favorite television shows are pretty similar to my favorite book genres. I love anything with a bit of mystery, a good psychological thriller, true crime and documentaries. My favorite shows of all time include Breaking Bad (from start to finish), Dexter (depending on season), You, Ozark and most recently Squid Games. I old school loved The Office and I’m a fan of Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah.

My favorite movie of all time is The Princess Bride. I also love Being John Malcovich and the live action Aladdin. I secretly love Dinner for Schmucks because of the tiny magical mice dioramas and of course Steve Carell.

I love playing with different mediums and textures and collect paper ephemera of all kinds. I think being a collector overall lends itself well to mixed media art. I have a large collection of rubber stamps, mark making supplies, paint, planner stickers, washi tape and so so much paper. I’m super into planners right now and trying to get back into ATC’s. I’m mostly a paper crafter although I’m drawn to other art types such as fabric art (quilts and other objects made of fabric).

Birds; especially owls and flamingos but I don’t think there’s a bird I wouldn’t like.

Other animals: Cats, dogs, woodland type animals such as deer, squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, etc. Also butterflies. dragonflies, hamsters, guinea pigs, pigmy goats, monkeys, sea creatures like octopuses and dolphins, etc. Giraffes, elephants, hippos, tigers, lions…. Most animals really, just not slimy or creepy ones. I like all styles, realistic, vintage, pop or modern and cute.

Florals and nature themes. Vintage illustrations especially of any type, plants, flowers, mushrooms, anything. Sketched, painted, hand drawn, mixed media or watercolor.

I love the holidays, the more retro and kitschy themed the better. Particularly Christmas, Halloween and Easter.

I enjoy paper ephemera and mixed media supplies, including postage stamps, stickers, old illustrations from books, old recipes, game pieces/cards, postcards, washi tape, die cuts. Scrapbook items with a Crate Paper or Echo Park style. Besides just collecting stickers, I use them in my planner.

Plus anything with a witchy theme. Crystals, tarot cards, moon related and astrology. I’m an Aries.
