I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where the summers are HOT and the winters are COLD. I work in a community health centre and plan to retire soon. I will need some hobbies to take up my time and a friend recommended this site.

I've been swapping for a bit now and am having fun but unfortunately I won't be involving myself in package swaps overseas because it just takes too long for our postal service to deliver. I rec'd my swap in 3 weeks from Germany yet I sent an overseas swap on Jan 24 and she just got it this week (April 18). I find this stressful so it's no longer fun.

I really like this site because I get good feedback when I run into crafting problems. So many people respond with a lot of good ideas.

I also guess I've been lucky I only had one flaker (so far) and it was for an electonic questionnaire, so wasn't too disappointing.

I like most music including current top 40, gospel, world music, some rap, some rock, opera, some classical, country (not so much).

True Crime, books about unusual people (fiction and non-fiction) been through the vampire and fantasy books and pretty well done with them, for now. I also like books that are science based-medical, space,, etc, Magazines about watercolour, photography.

Spy shows are my favourite by not too many around. Also like some science fiction, police shows and human interest movies

Current favourites are Nikita (best) Dexter,, Fringe, True Blood,and documentaries, National Geographic, 20/20 W5 also American Idol and Desperate Housewives.

Have tried most crafts at some time or other. Right now am very into photography and art. Dabble in watercolour, mixed media and trying my hand at acrylic (not very good). I had joined a ATC club in my city but the meeting times did not work well for me - am interested in continuing. In the past I have done cross stitch, knitting and some pottery, beading, working with polymer clay and sewing.

•do not like pictures of cutsy things such as animials or babies (though I love babies and cats-just not the pictures).

-I have a sensitivity of scents/chemicals - please do not send scented items.

-acylic paints -gel pens -rubber stamps -beads -interesting paper -lapel pins -abstract religious symbols (any religion) -handmade cards/postcards -embellishments -postcards from your city/country (used or new-doesn't matter) -embellishments -ATC -anything you would like to send will be appreciated.
