I have been doing fiber arts, embroidery and quilting for about 2 1/2 years. I learn from every project and really like it alot. I like all things colorful. I would say I am drawn to bright colors. I dont know that I can say I have one favorite color, I even like black.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 teenagers. I have 2 dogs who I absolutely adore. One Border Collie/lab mix and one Yorkie. We recently added two kittens to our family, they are the first cats I have had in my life. they are HILARIOUS. I like to read (addictively) the weekly trash magazines (Star, In Touch, etc) and do crossword puzzles. I like all word games and soduku.

My husband is in the Air Force Reserves (we used to be active duty) he is also a civil service employee (a computer guy). We have been married for 13 years. He is absolutely my best friend and supporter and encourager.

I live right out side of an Air Force Base and I love the sound of the F-16s roaring by. To me it is the sound of freedom overhead.

I am pretty easy going and easy to get along with. I am active with my quilt quild, an art quilt group, and an online art quilt group.

I drink a fountain (not from a can) diet coke every single day of the week without fail (and have done so since I was in the 10th grade!) I quit smoking a year ago (the best thing I have EVER done).

I look forward to doing swaps and meeting people!

I like just about everything, but My favorite would be the oldies.

I LOVE True Blood! The Vampire Diaries take up the slack when True Blood is off air. I am also a Discovery Chanel junkie. I also enjoy Animal Planet, Food Network. I think Mike Rowe is a STUD!

I love to quilt and do art quilts. I like to fabric paint and do machine embroidery. I just recently learned how to hand dye fabric and had so much fun! I like to machine felt and basically like to try any new craft that looks fun.

love the rain, especially just as its starting and I really love to watch lightning.

Collect Wizard Of Oz and Willow Tree figurines.

I love chocolate of course, dark being my fave and I chew alot of gum.

Some things that would be neat to add to my studio room would be:

• Unique fabrics for art quilting, the more unique, the better they can be, remnants and smaller pieces work well. Cottons to pleather to wool -ANY fiber works.
• Fabric with text on it
• Always can use hot fix crystals
• neat or unusual findings, charms, beads, small things to use in art quilts and postcards
• Cool threads, yarns, ribbons, anything that can be couched down
• Stationary, note cards
• bag patterns
• fabric paints
• thimbles, all different kinds
• old books or magazines of various topics (I cut them up to use in art quilting so nothing not suitable for that)
• candies to suck on (from quitting smoking a year ago - I still need candy occassionaly)
• Lace,rick rack and trims
• Stickers (ones that look like stamps are cool, but anything goes)
• Anything else you find irresistable and would like to recieve yourself.
