I am 50ish, married, mother of 2 grown children and a part-time substitute teacher. I am family oriented and always open to a game of Uno or Yatzee. I love going to the library. One of my goals this year is to visit every branch in my city. I usually come home with more that 15 reading items (way more). I read novels, kids books, books about history, books about art and arts & crafts, cook books, gardening books, decorating books, and I even like audio books. I do my best to pass that love of reading on. The current crafts I enjoy are art journals, tags/bookmarks, atc's, decorative fridge magnets and mail art. I have been part of a mail art group for the last year. In the past I have crocheted and am thinking of taking it up again. I don't have a blog or website, but I do have a Pinterest account. My music tastes are eclectic: rock, classical, dance, instrumental jazz, folk, oldies, spiritual.... It just depends on my mood.

NCIS, Sherlock, Major Crimes, Period Dramas on PBS or BBC ( Cranford, anything Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens and so on), Murdoch Mysteries/The Artful Detective

Too many to list. Some that come to mind at this moment: The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Pillars of the Earth, Sherlock Holmes. Some of my favorite authors: Agatha Christie, Michael Crichton, Edgar Allen Poe, Jane Austen, Louis L'Amour, Alexander Dumas, CS Lewis, Sharon Kay Penman. Just to name a few.

Postcards: handmade, museum, different places, historical interests, black and white. Postage Stamps: used, new, old, especially from other countries. Insects: dragonflies, butterflies, moths. Birds: owls, humming birds, cardinals, doves, song birds. Images: hearts, spirals, flourishes, vintage ladies, ancient architectural, sugar skulls, seashells.

I am new to swapbot. I have participated in a mail art group that I enjoyed very much. The hostess is taking a leave from coordinating the swaps as it was a lot of work on her part. I still swap informally with a few members. I understand about sending on time, meeting the swap requirements and acknowledging what was received as soon as possible.
